In this role, you will lead the design, development, and execution of automated testing solutions to ensure the highest quality of our software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement robust testing frameworks, streamline testing processes, and enhance overall product reliability. Your expertise in automation tools, scripting, and testing methodologies will drive continuous improvement and support our commitment to delivering exceptional software solutions across multiple platforms, including web and mobile applications. Duties - Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and other automation frameworks for functional, regression, performance, and load testing. - Design comprehensive test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications to ensure thorough coverage of system functionalities. - Execute automated and manual tests across various platforms including Android and iOS mobile applications, ensuring compatibility and performance standards are met. - Perform root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases to facilitate quick resolution and prevent recurrence. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps (TFS), and version control systems such as Git or SVN for seamless release cycles. - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners during requirements gathering to define test strategies aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices. - Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), system testing, functional testing, performance testing with LoadRunner or similar tools, and ensure adherence to quality assurance standards. - Utilize defect tracking tools like Jira or HP ALM to log issues accurately and monitor resolution progress throughout the development lifecycle. - Perform database validation using SQL queries in MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2; analyze data integrity issues; support backend validation efforts. - Support DevOps initiatives by automating deployment processes and ensuring smooth integration between development and operations teams. Qualifications - Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role within an IT environment with a focus on software quality assurance. - Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# for automation purposes. - Extensive hands-on experience with automation tools including Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (BDD), LoadRunner, and HP ALM. - Solid understanding of mobile testing frameworks for Android and iOS applications along with experience in mobile automation tools like Appium. - Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services (SOAP/REST) for API testing using tools like Postman or REST-assured. - Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab; experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps (TFS). - Strong analytical skills for data analysis and root cause analysis; ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. - Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies; adept at requirements gathering and test planning in fast-paced environments. - Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams; ability to document test cases clearly and comprehensively. - Knowledge of performance testing tools like LoadRunner; understanding of system architecture including MVC frameworks, SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture), and cloud platforms such as Azure is a plus.
