# Senior Python Full Stack Engineer (Django / Next.js) **Platinum Mzadat** · Doha · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role The role You will be the senior engineer for our two Python platforms: the auction system (public bidding, wallets, payments) and the asset-custody system used by government staff. Both are built on Django and Next.js and are replacing older PHP systems. You will work full time in our Doha team, alongside our developers and our development partner, and take technical ownership of how these platforms are built, tested and run. What you will do - Own the Django back ends of the auction and asset-custody platforms: design, code quality, releases. - Finish the move from the legacy PHP and MySQL systems to Python and PostgreSQL, module by module: data migration, parallel running, cutover without interrupting daily work. - Keep live bidding fast and correct at peak, when many bidders act in the last minutes of an auction: profile the hot paths, fix queries and caching, replace polling with push, load-test before large auctions. - Build and maintain the web front ends in Next.js and React, in Arabic and English: staff consoles and the public bidder site. - Design the REST APIs used by the web and Flutter mobile apps, and maintain integrations with the payment gateway, SMS one-time codes, push notifications and real-time messaging. - Raise engineering standards: automated tests, CI pipelines, code review, monitoring and alerting, runbooks and documentation. - Build in security from the start: role-based access, audit trails, protection of personal and case data, single sign-on with government identity systems. - Prepare and run releases in environments that follow formal change control and security review. - Bring new government entities onto the platform and review deliveries from our development partner. - Guide and mentor the developers in the team; plan and estimate with the project manager. What you bring - 6 or more years of professional software development, with at least 4 years of Python and Django in production. - Strong Django REST Framework and PostgreSQL: schema design, query tuning, migrations on live data. - Background work with Celery and a message broker (RabbitMQ or Redis). - Solid React and Next.js with TypeScript; able to deliver a feature end to end, from database to screen. - Proven work on a system under heavy concurrent load: caching, connection handling, real-time updates, load testing. - Experience replacing a legacy system with a new one, including the data migration and the cutover. - A habit of automated testing (pytest or similar), CI/CD and code review. - Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and a major cloud (Google Cloud preferred), enough to deploy, read logs and diagnose production problems. - Sound security practice: authentication (tokens, one-time codes, single sign-on), access control, OWASP Top 10. - Clear written and spoken English, and the ability to explain technical choices to non-technical colleagues. - Payments, wallets, deposits and refunds; auction, marketplace or fintech products. - Ability to read PHP. Good to have - English and optional (Arabic), and experience building right-to-left, bilingual interfaces. - Work for government clients, or under security standards such as ISO 27001 or Qatar's National Information Assurance policy. - Experience working with a mobile team (Flutter, iOS or Android). - Terraform, GitLab CI, Sentry, Grafana or similar tooling. - Generating Arabic documents (Word or PDF) from templates; document scanning or AI vision services. - Earlier experience as a technical lead.
