This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership. You will work closely with product, business, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable backend services while also developing a strong understanding of financial workflows and structured products. What You'll Do - Architect, design, and develop Python-based backend services following Contineo engineering standards and best practices. - Take ownership of key platform components including lifecycle event management, booking modules, and analytics/reporting services. - Collaborate closely with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into well-designed technical solutions. - Work in an agile, DevOps-driven environment, contributing to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments. - Ensure high-quality delivery through proper testing, code reviews, and adherence to acceptance criteria. - Develop a strong understanding of the platforms functional and financial workflows (this is not a purely technical role). What Were Looking For - 7+ years of professional Python development experience, building and maintaining enterprise-scale applications. - Strong expertise in Python frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, and related tooling (Dash, REST APIs). - Solid understanding of microservices architectures, HTTP-based integrations, and Kubernetes-based deployments. - Experience designing and working with data models (relational databases, JSON-based schemas). - Familiarity with Agile SDLC, testing frameworks, and production-grade software delivery. - Demonstrated ownership mindset and leadership qualities, even in an individual contributor role. - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Excellent written and spoken English.
