# Senior Property Officer **NSW Department of Communities and Justice** · Parramatta NSW 2150 · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Department: Portfolio Development Department/Agency: Department of Communities and Justice Location: Parramatta, NSW, AU, 2150 Req ID: 86415 Senior Property Officer Location – Parramatta – 50% Hybrid Employment type – Fulltime - Temporary until 30 June 2028 Salary – Clerk Grade 9/10 - $133,348 - $146,945 employer superannuation contribution and annual leave loading Your role The Senior Property Officer role is responsible for delivering the business-as-usual sales and acquisition projects whilst working with the Principal Property Officer on more complex acquisition, sales and property programs. The role also establishes clear communication and consultation paths with the wider organisation providing professional property and valuation advice to support the business decision making along with managing some commercial leasing properties. What you’ll do As part of the Capital Transaction Team, you will manage direct sales to other government agencies, community housing providers and unsolicited proposals in accordance with relevant legislation, framework and policies. The role includes providing professional property and valuation advice to support the business decision making along with managing non-core commercial leasing portfolio of properties with support from Property Officers. What we’re looking for Work as a senior member of the team to lead the commercial leasing portfolio, in conjunction with two external managing agents to negotiate new lease and licence agreements, options and rent reviews. Liaise with internal stakeholders for preparation of commercial lease agreements. Maximise the portfolio to extract market value rents and favourable leasing terms. Review the non-core asset portfolio for potential divestments and sale revenue. Monitor portfolio financial performance, including tracking rental income, budgeting, and arrears management. Ensure all leasing activities comply with NSW property legislation, government policies, and procurement guidelines. Comprehensive written skills to prepare business cases, briefing notes, and property reports. Assist the team in the acquisition and sales programs of residential properties to ensure efficient delivery of projects to meet client briefs, timelines and expectations. Demonstrated experience in commercial property leasing, with particular emphasis on government assets. Tertiary qualifications in Property Economics, Real Estate, Property or equivalent experience. Strong negotiation skills with a solid understanding of commercial and retail lease terms. Download the role description.
