Senior Project Manager – Medical Device Product Transfer

Job Summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a long-term engagement within the medical device industry. This role will lead complex product and production-line transfer initiatives, evaluate transfer opportunities, develop business cases and risk-benefit analyses, and present recommendations directly to leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring proven medical device product-transfer experience, strong cross-functional project leadership, and the ability to independently evaluate complex situations and develop a path forward.

Responsibilities

• Lead medical device product and production-line transfer projects through multiple phases.
• Evaluate production lines and develop appropriate transfer strategies.
• Develop business cases, recommendations, and risk-benefit analyses.
• Present recommendations and supporting rationale directly to leadership.
• Lead cross-functional workstreams involving R&D, engineering, manufacturing, finance, and other stakeholders.
• Manage project priorities, risks, deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
• Coordinate project teams as individual workstreams grow.
• Clearly articulate the measurable business value and impact of project decisions.

Requirements

• Medical device product-transfer experience required.
• Approximately 8–12 years of overall project management experience preferred.
• Approximately 3–5+ years of medical device industry experience may be considered when combined with strong overall project management experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements associated with medical device product transfers.
• Experience leading complex, high-value product-transfer initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to quantify and communicate business impact, cost savings, or other measurable project value.
• Experience developing business cases and conducting risk-benefit analysis.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Experience presenting recommendations directly to senior leadership.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience within a large medical device organization preferred.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% during the first 2–3 months and approximately 25% thereafter.

Pay: $65.00 - $74.00 per hour
