# Senior Project Engineer – Substation **Electro Mechanical Co LLC** · Abu Dhabi · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 6 дней назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Job Summary Responsible for the overall planning, execution, monitoring, and successful completion of HV/EHV electrical substation projects in accordance with approved project requirements, client specifications, UAE regulations, and applicable international standards. The Project Manager leads multidisciplinary teams and coordinates with the client, consultant, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities · Manage the complete lifecycle of substation projects from engineering and procurement through construction, testing, commissioning, and handover. · Coordinate execution of HV/EHV substations, including GIS/AIS substations, transformers, switchgear, protection and control systems, SCADA/RTU, communication systems, and associated civil works. · Act as the primary point of contact with TRANSCO/TAQA Transmission, consultants, and other project stakeholders. · Establish and maintain the project execution plan, schedule, budget, resources, and risk management plan. · Monitor engineering deliverables, technical approvals, material procurement, manufacturing, inspection, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning. · Lead multidisciplinary teams covering electrical, civil, protection & control, SCADA, telecom, mechanical, QA/QC, HSE, planning, and commercial functions. · Ensure compliance with approved project specifications, client standards, drawings, method statements, ITPs, and applicable IEC/IEEE standards. · Manage project interfaces with transmission lines, existing substations, utilities, control centers, and other infrastructure. · Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including performance monitoring, technical coordination, commercial matters, and claims. · Conduct regular progress meetings, coordination meetings, technical meetings, and client review meetings. · Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly progress reports, dashboards, schedules, forecasts, and project performance reports. · Control project costs, variations, change orders, claims, and cash flow in coordination with the commercial team. · Identify project risks and develop appropriate mitigation and contingency plans. · Ensure strict implementation of HSE requirements, including PTW, risk assessments, site safety procedures, and emergency arrangements. · Coordinate testing and commissioning activities, energization requirements, outage planning, and final handover. · Ensure completion of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, test records, commissioning dossiers, spare parts, training, and final documentation. · Drive project closeout, punch-list clearance, performance testing, taking-over certification, and defects-liability activities. Qualifications & Experience · Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. · Typically 15+ years of experience in electrical transmission/substation projects, with significant experience in project management. · Demonstrated experience in HV/EHV (132/33 kV, 220/132 kV, 400/132 kV) substation EPC projects. · Experience working on TRANSCO/TAQA Transmission or equivalent utility projects is highly desirable. · Strong knowledge of project planning, cost control, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover. · Familiarity with IEC/IEEE standards and utility specifications. · Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and major equipment suppliers. · Strong knowledge of HSE and QA/QC requirements for utility projects. · PMP or equivalent project-management certification is advantageous. · UAE/GCC project experience is preferred. Pay: AED30,000.00 - AED40,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
