We are looking for a Senior Product Owner to join the SmartSales team in Madrid: a customer-focused, outcome-oriented professional with strong product ownership skills, solid agile delivery experience, and the ability to translate business needs into valuable digital solutions. This is an opportunity to shape one of Verisure’s key Sales platforms, helping our countries and commercial teams work smarter, faster, and more effectively. You will be part of a team that is embedding AI agents into the software development lifecycle, modernising delivery practices, and exploring new ways of accelerating product discovery, delivery, testing, documentation, and operational support. The role combines product vision, stakeholder alignment, agile backlog management, delivery excellence, and curiosity for AI-enabled ways of working in a highly collaborative international environment. As part of this role, you will help the SmartSales team evolve not only what we build, but also how we build it: using data, automation, agile practices, and AI-enabled collaboration to improve delivery quality, predictability, and speed. We are a technology team in a fast-growing IoT company and we now have the opportunity for a Product Owner in our Technology Hub in Madrid. The role will focus on SmartSales, a strategic platform supporting Sales processes across countries. You will work closely with business owners, country stakeholders, UX, architecture, engineering, QA, SRE, and delivery teams to define product outcomes, prioritise the roadmap, and drive initiatives from discovery to production. SmartSales is evolving towards a modern, scalable, and AI-enabled delivery model. As Product Owner, you will help the team identify where AI agents and automation can improve the product lifecycle, including backlog refinement, user story quality, acceptance criteria, test coverage, documentation, release readiness, and service improvement. You will operate in an international context, coordinating needs and priorities across Europe and Latin America. Strong communication, structured decision-making, and the ability to balance business value, technical feasibility, delivery capacity, and operational quality will be essential for success. Own, refine, and prioritise the SmartSales product backlog, ensuring alignment with business value, country needs, technical enablers, and delivery capacity. Translate business requirements, opportunities, and discovery outcomes into clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable product outcomes. Collaborate closely with Scrum Master, Engineering, QA, SRE, Architecture, UX, and Business stakeholders to ensure high-quality agile delivery from discovery to implementation. Contribute to embedding AI agents and AI-assisted practices into the software development lifecycle, identifying practical use cases that improve productivity, quality, traceability, and team efficiency. Support roadmap definition, prioritisation, release planning, stakeholder communication, and transparent reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs. Promote platform ownership, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and a product mindset focused on customer impact, business outcomes, and sustainable delivery. Required Qualifications: Computer Engineering, Business, Product Management, or a related degree. + 5 years of professional experience in IT, digital products, business analysis, or product ownership. Proven experience working as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in agile software delivery teams. Strong experience defining requirements, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, priorities, and product increments. Experience managing stakeholders, expectations, dependencies, and priorities across business and technology teams. Good understanding of software delivery lifecycle, agile methodologies, quality practices, release management, and operational support. Interest in, and practical exposure to, AI-assisted delivery, generative AI tools, automation, or AI agents applied to product or software development activities. Advanced English, with the ability to communicate clearly in an international environment. Will be a plus: Technical background or ability to understand technical trade-offs, architecture constraints, APIs, integrations, data flows, and platform dependencies. Previous experience in Sales, Marketing, CRM, order intake, commercial platforms, or business partner roles. Experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, generative AI assistants, agentic workflows, test automation, backlog assistance, or documentation automation. Experience working with distributed or international teams across different countries and business units. Competencies Product mindset, customer focus, and ability to connect business objectives with technology delivery. Structured, organised, methodical, and comfortable managing ambiguity and competing priorities. Strong communication, negotiation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Proactivity, ownership, autonomy, and drive for continuous improvement. Curiosity for new technologies and ability to identify practical AI-enabled improvements in day-to-day delivery. Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with internal teams, external providers, and international stakeholders.
