Indirect Buyer Location: Louveira, São Paulo, Brazil Department: Procurement Reports To: Supply Chain Coordinator Position Type: Full-Time Position Summary The Indirect Buyer is responsible for managing and executing indirect procurement activities to support plant operations and business objectives. This role ensures the efficient acquisition of services, equipment, maintenance supplies, facilities-related purchases, and other indirect spending categories while aligning local procurement activities with global category strategies. The successful candidate will lead supplier negotiations, conduct market analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and develop strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and uninterrupted supply. The Senior Indirect Buyer will collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and other stakeholders to support procurement excellence and business growth. Key Responsibilities Execute and support Global Category Strategies while ensuring alignment with plant requirements. Drive the adoption of preferred suppliers and approved vendors in accordance with global procurement strategies. Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including demand identification, sourcing, quotation analysis, purchase order creation, and invoice reconciliation. Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, pricing, service levels, lead times, payment terms, and overall commercial value. Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to improve service quality, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency. Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate supply risks. Lead commercial negotiations to secure favorable pricing, contractual terms, and service agreements. Ensure all purchased goods and services meet company standards, specifications, and compliance requirements. Partner with Operations, Production, Planning, Maintenance, and Finance teams to support business needs and procurement initiatives. Analyze procurement performance metrics and prepare reports, cost analyses, and recommendations for leadership. Support supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, internal controls, and ethical sourcing standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably within a manufacturing, packaging, printing, or industrial environment. Proven experience managing indirect spending categories and supplier negotiations. Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Required Skills & Knowledge Experience with procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier management. Knowledge of cost analysis, contract management, and purchasing best practices. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Experience working in a global or matrix organization is preferred. Systems Experience Protheus ERP System. Intranet Systems. i4s System. Other procurement or ERP platforms are considered a plus. Language Requirements Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal) is required Physical Requirements This role is primarily office-based or home office-based, requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use. The position may involve occasional travel, customer visits, walking through manufacturing environments, and light lifting.
