The role requires strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, good commercial negotiation skills, and coordination with Engineering, Projects, QA/QC and suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement. Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs and tender enquiries. Review mechanical drawings, specifications and technical requirements before procurement. Procure materials and equipment for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, pumps, piping, STP, solar water heating and related mechanical systems. Obtain and evaluate technical and commercial quotations from suppliers. Prepare comparison statements and support supplier selection. Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to achieve cost-effective procurement solutions. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions. Prepare purchase orders and maintain complete procurement records. Ensure procured materials comply with approved specifications, technical submittals and project requirements. Coordinate with Engineering, Project, QA/QC and Commercial teams to resolve technical and commercial issues. Monitor procurement activities from material requisition through delivery and project close-out. Follow up suppliers to ensure materials and equipment are delivered on time. Evaluate supplier performance and maintain the approved vendor database. Support the Procurement Manager with procurement planning, sourcing strategies and reporting. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. CIPS, PMP or other relevant procurement certification is an advantage. Experience Minimum 4–6 years of procurement experience in MEP, construction or EPC projects. Strong experience in procurement of mechanical materials, equipment and subcontract packages. Experience working with local and international mechanical suppliers and manufacturers is preferred. UAE procurement experience is highly preferred. Required Skills Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, drawings and specifications. Good knowledge of supplier evaluation and procurement processes. Strong negotiation and commercial skills. Good cost analysis and comparison skills. Knowledge of contract and purchase order administration. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple procurement packages and deadlines. Work Location: In person
