The Alliance's scope has expanded from the Frankston line to Melbourne's inner west, removing crossings at Newport and Spotswood and realigning freight and passenger lines through Sunshine. About Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join the Southern Program Alliance and support the delivery of one of Victoria's most significant rail programs. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will maintain the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of the project schedule, with a focus on the freight works package within the Sunshine realignment. You will work closely with Design, Contracts, Cost Planning and Construction teams, and use your expertise in Primavera P6 to keep the Integrated Master Schedule aligned with the overall program timeline. This role offers the chance to influence how a complex, multidisciplinary rail project is delivered and to work alongside experienced planning and construction professionals on a program that will reshape one of Melbourne's busiest rail corridors. Key accountabilities for the position will be: Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule for freight works Apply critical path analysis to identify risks and dependencies Coordinate with design, construction and systems teams on interfaces Track progress against baseline schedules using Primavera P6 Prepare EVM reporting and schedule variance forecasts Identify schedule risks and maintain risk adjusted contingency plans Present schedule insights at program alliance meetings Required Skills and Competencies Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or related field Extensive experience in planning or scheduling on major infrastructure projects Expert user of Primavera P6, with working knowledge of MS Project Rail experience highly desirable but NOT essential Strong understanding of critical path analysis and earned value management Ability to achieve a successful Pre-Employment Medical and National Crime Check ACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Australia, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
