About the Role We are seeking a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented Senior Officer / Assistant Manager - Governance, Risk & Control to support the Company's internal control, risk management, compliance, and governance initiatives across the APAC region. Reporting to the Manager, Internal Control and Risk Management, the successful candidate will work closely with finance teams, business process owners, and key stakeholders across multiple markets to support the maintenance and continuous enhancement of the Company's internal control framework. The role offers valuable exposure to regional operations, governance, risk management, compliance activities, and process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Support the maintenance, documentation, and continuous enhancement of internal control policies, procedures, and governance frameworks. Conduct internal control testing, process reviews, and risk assessments across finance, operational, treasury, procurement, and commercial processes. Perform analytical reviews to identify unusual transactions, control exceptions, fraud indicators, policy non-compliance, and emerging risks. Identify control gaps, compliance issues, and process weaknesses, and recommend practical and sustainable improvement actions. Prepare working papers, testing documentation, risk assessments, issue logs, and management reports. Prepare periodic internal control, risk, compliance, remediation, and governance reports for senior management, relevant committees, and other stakeholders. Follow up with process owners and APAC finance teams to monitor the timely implementation of agreed remediation actions and process improvements. Support internal and external audit activities, including audit coordination, documentation preparation, issue resolution, and corrective action planning. Provide day-to-day advice and support to business stakeholders on internal control, risk management, compliance, governance, and regulatory requirements. Utilise data analytics and management information to identify control anomalies, emerging risks, trends, and opportunities for process improvement. Assist in regional control enhancement projects, policy implementation, governance initiatives, and continuous improvement programmes. Promote a strong culture of risk awareness, control ownership, accountability, and ethical business conduct throughout the organisation. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in internal control, internal audit, external audit, compliance, risk management, accounting, or finance. Candidates with more extensive experience, regional exposure, and the ability to independently lead control reviews and remediation initiatives may be considered for the Assistant Manager level. Practical experience in internal control testing, audit fieldwork, risk assessment, finance process reviews, compliance monitoring, and remediation follow-up. Good understanding of internal control principles, risk management frameworks, audit methodologies, financial controls, and corporate governance practices. Experience working in multinational corporations, regional functions, or multi-country environments will be an advantage. Professional qualifications or progress towards qualifications such as CIA, CPA, HKICPA, ACCA, ACA, CISA , or equivalent will be an advantage. Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving, documentation, and report-writing skills. Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with business stakeholders and drive control improvements through a collaborative approach. Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with finance teams, business stakeholders, senior management, auditors, regulators, and external parties. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Putonghua is an advantage.
