The role requires strong hands-on expertise across routing and switching, wireless networks, network security, WAN services, and advanced troubleshooting. The successful candidate will support reliable and secure network operations, resolve complex technical issues, contribute to infrastructure projects, and provide technical guidance to internal teams and customers. Key Responsibilities · Design, configure, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and network security infrastructure. · Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching environments, including Layer 2/Layer 3 technologies and dynamic routing protocols. · Implement and support technologies such as VLANs, STP, OSPF, VRRP, QoS, VPN/IPsec, DNS, DHCP, proxy services, and related TCP/IP services. · Monitor network availability, utilization, capacity, and performance using appropriate monitoring, diagnostic, and analytics tools. · Perform advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex or escalated network incidents. · Support firewall/security systems and coordinate remediation of network vulnerabilities, configuration issues, and service-impacting incidents. · Participate in network upgrades, migrations, expansions, commissioning, testing, and acceptance activities. · Ensure high availability, resilience, performance, and security of network services in line with operational and customer requirements. · Provide customer-facing technical support and participate in incident, problem, and change-management activities within 24x7 service environments as required. · Collaborate with project, infrastructure, security, service, and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation and operational handover. · Prepare and maintain network diagrams, configuration records, technical documentation, SOPs, incident reports, and knowledge-transfer documents. · Evaluate new networking technologies and recommend improvements, upgrades, standardization, and optimization opportunities. · Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to junior engineers and support teams. Technical Requirements · Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise data networking, routing and switching, Wi-Fi, and firewall/security environments. · Strong hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise networking technologies and related infrastructure components. · Strong understanding of OSI and TCP/IP models, IP addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, and network security fundamentals. · Practical experience with L2/L3 protocols and technologies including VLANs, STP, OSPF, VRRP, QoS, and IPsec. · Experience with DNS/DHCP, proxy services, WAN optimization/acceleration technologies, and enterprise connectivity services. · Proficiency in network monitoring, packet/traffic analysis, diagnostics, performance analysis, and troubleshooting tools. · Ability to troubleshoot complex network incidents systematically and communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. · Experience supporting business-critical or 24x7 enterprise service environments and working within structured service-delivery processes. Educational Qualifications & Certifications · Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. · Valid Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification - Mandatory. · Additional Cisco CCNA, CCNP, firewall/security, cloud networking, or network automation certifications will be an advantage. Preferred Experience & Competencies · Experience in enterprise network implementation, migration, commissioning, or infrastructure upgrade projects. · Exposure to multi-vendor network environments and integration with servers, security platforms, and other IT infrastructure. · Experience working directly with customers, vendors, OEMs, or implementation partners. · UAE/GCC project or service-support experience is preferred. · UAE Driving License is preferred for roles requiring customer/site visits. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. · Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and support critical incidents under time-sensitive conditions. Role Expectations The position is expected to combine strong hands-on technical capability with disciplined service delivery. The engineer should be comfortable supporting both project implementation and operational environments, taking ownership of complex network issues from diagnosis through resolution, and ensuring proper documentation and knowledge transfer. Pay: Up to AED15,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
