About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure & Devops Engineer to design, deploy, and manage large-scale video analytics and surveillance environments. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end network architecture and server infrastructure for complex deployments scaling from 500 to 5,000+ IP cameras .

You will bridge the gap between physical CCTV systems, enterprise networking, Linux administration, containerization, and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in low-latency video streaming, Kubernetes orchestration, high-throughput network design, and DevOps automation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Large-Scale CCTV & Video Network Architecture

• High-Density Network Design: Architect, scale, and optimize local and wide-area networks for enterprise IP CCTV systems handling 500 to 5,000+ camera channels .
• Stream Optimization: Design multi-unicast/multicast video delivery architectures, streaming protocols (RTSP, ONVIF, WebRTC, HLS), and bandwidth management strategies (VBR/CBR, H.264/H.265 optimization).
• VLAN & Traffic Segmentation: Implement dedicated security VLANs, QoS policies, traffic shaping, and multicast routing (PIM-SM/SSM) to ensure zero frame loss and low-latency video ingestion.
• Storage & NVR Infrastructure: Design high-throughput storage topologies (SAN, NAS, RAID configurations, object storage) tailored for high-write video retention demands.

1. Linux, Systems & Edge Engineering

• Ubuntu & Enterprise Linux: Perform deep system tuning (kernel optimization, network stack sysctl tuning, IOPS optimization) for heavy video ingestion workloads on Ubuntu Server environments.
• Hardware & GPU Accelerators: Manage edge and core server infrastructure equipped with GPU clusters (NVIDIA TensorRT / CUDA) optimized for real-time video analytics inference.
• System Telemetry: Set up hardware monitoring (IPMI/iDRAC), thermals, disk wear, and camera connectivity telemetry across physical edge nodes.

1. Containerization, Kubernetes & DevOps

• Container Orchestration: Deploy, scale, and manage containerized AI models, video analytics microservices, and VMS platforms on Kubernetes (K8s / K3s / OpenShift).
• CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain automated pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins) for deploying edge-to-cloud analytics services.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provision, configure, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
• Observability & Alerting: Implement centralized monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack, and custom ONVIF/RTSP probe tools.

1. Hybrid Cloud & Security

• Hybrid Infrastructure: Connect on-premises video ingest clusters with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for hybrid processing, archival, and remote analytics.
• Network Security: Secure camera networks against unauthorized access through 802.1X port authentication, VPNs (WireGuard, IPsec), firewalls, and zero-trust perimeter controls.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: Minimum 5–8+ years in Network Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Architecture, with at least 3 years directly supporting large-scale IP video surveillance or video analytics infrastructure (500+ cameras) .
• Large-Scale CCTV Networking: Proven record of designing network topologies capable of ingesting high-gigabit video traffic throughput across thousands of cameras.
• Linux Expertise: Advanced administration skills in Ubuntu Server , deep knowledge of network tools (tcpdump, iperf, ebpf, netstat), file systems, and system performance tuning.
• Kubernetes & Containers: Strong experience with Docker, Containerd, Kubernetes deployment strategies, CNI plugins (Calico, Cilium), and persistent volume storage provisioners.
• DevOps & Automation: Hands-on skill with Ansible, Terraform, Helm, shell scripting (Bash), and Python for infrastructure automation.
• Networking Certifications (Preferred): CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, or equivalent networking credentials.
• Cloud & Linux Certifications (Bonus): CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), AWS Solutions Architect, or RHCE.

• Deployment Speed: Automated edge and node deployment time using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• MTTR (Mean Time to Resolution): Rapid triage and resolution of camera disconnects, bandwidth bottlenecks, or analytics container failures.
