The role will be responsible for ensuring that mechanical systems are designed, installed, tested, commissioned, and maintained in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, UAE regulations, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Review and coordinate mechanical designs, drawings, specifications, and technical submissions for building and real estate development projects. Supervise and monitor the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems. Oversee HVAC, chilled water, ventilation, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and other mechanical systems . Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, MEP teams, and project management teams. Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, technical specifications, and inspection requests . Ensure mechanical works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable UAE standards. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, workmanship, and compliance. Identify technical issues, design conflicts, and site problems and coordinate appropriate solutions. Monitor contractors' performance, work progress, materials, and installation quality. Coordinate mechanical works with civil, electrical, architectural, and other MEP disciplines to avoid clashes and delays. Participate in testing and commissioning of mechanical systems and ensure proper documentation and handover. Review and maintain as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, testing reports, and project documentation . Assist in preparing project schedules, progress reports, snagging lists, and technical reports. Monitor project costs related to mechanical works and identify potential variations or cost impacts. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements at project sites. Support defect identification, rectification, and maintenance activities during the project and post-handover period. Liaise with relevant authorities, consultants, and contractors when required for approvals and inspections. Provide technical support for existing buildings and property assets managed by the company. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. 3–7 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within real estate development, building construction, property development, or MEP contracting . Strong knowledge of building mechanical systems, particularly HVAC, plumbing, drainage, ventilation, and firefighting systems . Experience in reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical submissions. Good understanding of UAE construction practices, standards, and authority requirements. Experience working with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams. Strong site supervision, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM and project management software will be an advantage. UAE/GCC project experience is preferred. Preferred Candidate Profile Experience with a UAE-based real estate developer or major building construction/MEP company. Strong understanding of Dubai building regulations and authority requirements . Ability to manage multiple mechanical activities and coordinate effectively with contractors and consultants. Hands-on approach with strong attention to technical details, quality, and project timelines.
