# Senior Mechanical Engineer **Alhamal Trading and Contracting W.L.L** · Doha · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: сегодня* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead and supervise mechanical engineering activities for construction projects. The role involves design coordination, technical review, site supervision, installation, testing and commissioning, and ensuring that mechanical works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and project schedules. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements . Coordinate mechanical works with architectural, structural, electrical, and other disciplines. Supervise the installation of mechanical systems and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications. Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions . Monitor site progress and ensure mechanical works are completed according to the approved project schedule. Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management teams. Conduct inspections and ensure proper quality control of mechanical installations. Identify technical issues, site constraints, and design discrepancies and recommend appropriate solutions. Ensure mechanical works comply with applicable Qatar/GCC standards, project specifications, and HSE requirements . Assist in preparing technical reports, progress reports, and project documentation. Monitor material requirements, procurement, delivery, and usage for mechanical works. Supervise testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems. Support the preparation and review of as-built drawings and O&M documentation . Participate in technical and progress meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Provide technical guidance and support to Mechanical Engineers, Supervisors, and site teams. Ensure all mechanical activities are executed safely, efficiently, and within the approved budget and timeline. Typical Mechanical Systems Depending on the project, experience may include: HVAC systems Chilled water systems Plumbing and drainage Firefighting systems Pumps and water systems Ventilation and exhaust systems Mechanical equipment District cooling systems Building services and MEP systems Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering . Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction/MEP projects. Strong experience in supervising and coordinating mechanical construction works. Experience in reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents. Good knowledge of mechanical systems, construction methods, and installation practices. Proficient in AutoCAD ; knowledge of Revit MEP, Navisworks, or other engineering software is an advantage. Strong knowledge of project specifications, QA/QC procedures, and HSE requirements. Excellent coordination, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple activities and work under project deadlines. Qatar/GCC construction experience is preferred. Valid UPDA/MMUP registration is preferred/required . Work Location: In person
