Senior-Level Graphic Designer/Art Director FT/PT

We are a boutique, in-house ad agency supporting 4 ‘start-up’ brands based in Austin, Texas. We are looking for a Senior-level Graphic Designer/Art Director to join our creative team: first as a contract hire, then eventually leading to a full-time position. Candidates must have both supreme conceptual and executional ability. Projects will include design and art direction for TV, magazine, web, posters, direct mail -- and everything in between, (Web design experience a huge plus).

A small portion of your work requirements will be production artist-type tasks: re-sizing a banner ad, photo change in magazine ad, (etc). But in most other areas, there's definitely a need for big creative ideas, strong art direction ability, and fresh, effective designs from concept to completion.

Work location will be a split between remote and onsite at our office. Ultimately, we will need you to live in (or near) Austin, Texas - and be available in-person for group meetings, collaborations, brain-storming sessions, etc. Our boutique ad agency is well-established, (in Austin for over 15 years) and we are seeking the right person to be a great fit, longterm.

Pay rate is $65,000 - $95,000/yr., depending on experience and portfolio.

We are Mac based -- Please have a mastery of Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.). Minimum 3-5 years ad agency work experience is strongly preferred. Please have a strong portfolio.
