Recruit Ref: L0607873526 Posting Date: 2026-09-10 Lillyhouse Knitters Limited Senior Knitwear Designer About the role Lillyhouse Knitters Limited is seeking a Senior Knitwear Designer to join our growing and energetic team on a full-time basis. This is a strategic role that will shape the future of our knitwear collections and drive innovation across our design division. As Senior Knitwear Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualising, developing and delivering exceptional knitwear designs that resonate with our target markets and uphold the Lillyhouse brand standards. This position is integral to our product development strategy and offers the opportunity to lead design initiatives whilst collaborating with cross-functional teams across production, merchandising and commercial functions. Key responsibilities Develop original knitwear designs from concept through to production, ensuring alignment with seasonal collections and brand aesthetics Lead the full design process including mood boarding, colour palette selection, yarn sourcing and technical specification documentation Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify emerging patterns, materials and design directions within the global knitwear industry Create detailed technical drawings, swatches and sample specifications for manufacturing partners Oversee the sampling process and manage design revisions to achieve desired aesthetic and performance outcomes Collaborate with pattern makers and production teams to ensure designs are technically feasible and meet quality standards Attend fabric and yarn trade shows to stay informed of industry developments and source innovative materials Present design concepts and collections to senior management and commercial stakeholders What we're looking for A person who are in love with fashion and knitwear A minimum of 6 years' professional experience in knitwear design within a commercial or fashion environment Strong technical knowledge of knit construction, yarn properties, finishing techniques and manufacturing processes Proven ability to translate market trends and commercial briefs into compelling and commercially viable designs Advanced proficiency in design software including Adobe Creative Suite, CAD programmes and specialist knitwear design tools Extensive experience in developing collections for both womenswear and menswear knitwear categories Excellent visual communication skills with a strong portfolio demonstrating a distinctive design perspective and technical excellence Experience in colour theory and palette development with a keen eye for aesthetic detail Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines A qualification in Fashion Design, Textiles, Fine Art or a related discipline is advantageous What we offer Double Pay Discretionary Bonus 14 Days Annual Leave How to apply Interested parties can submit your application with full resume and expected salary to HR Manager Paul Lam, email: ••••@lhknitters.com Email To: paullam@lhknitters.com Industry: Manufacturing / Industrial Job Category / Function: Building / Architectural (Building / Construction / QS) Design (Fashion) Job Position Level: General Employment Term: Full Time Min.
