Position - Software Engineer - jr Java Developer Experience – 4+ Years Working Days – Monday to Friday Job Location – Thane (West) Job Overview We are looking for a Senior Java / Spring Boot Developer to design, develop, and own scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services . The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, databases, Redis, and Kafka , along with the ability to make sound technical decisions and troubleshoot complex production issues. The candidate will be expected to take end-to-end ownership of backend services and features , contribute to technical design and architecture, and provide technical guidance to other developers. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot . - Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices . - Implement secure APIs using Spring Security, JWT, OAuth2/JWKS . - Work with JPA/Hibernate, MySQL, and Redis . - Design, develop, and maintain Kafka producers and consumers , including topics, partitions, consumer groups, offsets, retries, and error handling. - Take ownership of Kafka-based event-driven workflows , ensuring reliable message processing and handling failures and duplicate messages. - Handle performance optimization, concurrency, and production troubleshooting. - Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using SOLID principles and design patterns . - Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.. Qualifications - 5+ years of professional experience in Java backend development. - Strong knowledge of Core Java , including Collections, Streams, Multithreading, Concurrency, Exception Handling, and JVM fundamentals. - Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework . - Good understanding of REST APIs and Microservices architecture . - Hands-on experience with Spring Security and JWT-based authentication . - Strong experience with JPA/Hibernate and SQL databases , preferably MySQL. - Experience with Redis and caching concepts. - Hands-on experience with Kafka , including producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, offsets, retries, and error handling. - Experience with JUnit/Mockito and Git. - Good understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and clean code . - Experience with Java 17/21 and modern Spring Boot versions is preferred. - Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
