Our Romeoville office is seeking a Senior Inventory Planning Analyst in our Operations department in Romeoville, IL. Position Overview The Senior Inventory Planning Analyst is responsible for manage finished goods domestic inventory requirements based on unit velocity, historical demand as well as forecasting submitted from sales and customers. In addition, one will also be responsible for developing and maintaining data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met. The Inventory / Business Analyst will conduct market analyses, analyzing all product lines and the overall performance of the business operations. The Inventory/Business Analyst focuses on optimizing inventory systems, improving supply chain efficiency and ensuring accurate, cost-effective stock management. Job Duties and Responsibilities Inventory Management Develop, implement and maintain system to ensure efficient inventory Establish minimum inventory level by sku, determine reorder points to avoid shortage, recommend order amounts Perform basic analysis of cycle count results and reporting (physical vs system of record inventory) through, cross functional departments (e.g., Contracts, Sales, Finance, Quality, Supply Chain, Customer Service, IT) Collaborate with sales team in managing all inventory at each account including quarterly/daily reconciliations, inventory adjustments and sales forecast Develop basic analytical models to make recommendations to stakeholders for inventory optimization and excess and obsolete mitigation. Planned obsolescence. Participate in system testing, implementation, and process improvement projects. Update master data as required into one or more systems. Business Analytics Maintain databases, extract information and develop metrics to measure and improve overall performance. This is inclusive of customer score cards and internal operational metrics. Analyze performance and productivity data, and error rates Utilize systems and software to develop and maintain reporting tools to support business decisions Analyze reports to identify operational issues throughout departments Prepare related reports, graphs, charts, presentations and other documents to support analysis Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree is required with 10 years’ experience working in finance, customer service, sales operations, and/or inventory control. Experience working in an import company is preferred. Good computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, ERP (Dynamics 365 Business Central) and CRM systems Microsoft Power BI would be an asset Must be customer service oriented. Good organizational and time management skills. Good written and verbal communication skills including negotiating and relationship management skills. Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Good knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures and guidelines relevant to local and/or global supply chain. Good problem-solving skills. Strict attention to detail. Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work in a team environment, including immediate supervisor, other and cross-functional team members, and customers. Ability to build stable working relationships internally.
