Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Senior Graphic Designer/Art Director to lead our creative team. At Sundin Marketing, the Art Director serves as the primary connection between our account management and graphic design team, including limited project management responsibilities. Applicants must be able to multi-task and be comfortable switching quickly between client projects throughout the day and week. Designers at Sundin Marketing have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects. In particular, we are seeking a candidate with strong experience related to print design, production, printing and file management. While designers at our Agency produce print, digital, online, social, and video assets, we don’t expect the successful candidate to know how to design “all” the things. Instead, we are looking for someone with a passion for, and strong understanding of, graphic design concepts; a robust design portfolio, and experience with Adobe Design Suite, as well as a willingness to learn about, work with and design for multiple channels and applications. With the exception of limited ai-tools (eg Adobe Photoshop generative fill) Sundin Marketing does not use generative ai including, but not limited to, graphic design, video production, and illustration or photography. Sundin Marketing manages a hybrid schedule with the team working remotely on Fridays and together on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from our office located in the heart of Sherborn, Massachusetts, a small suburb outside of Boston. For the right candidate we are also happy to consider part-time opportunities allowing for “parent” hours. Responsibilities - Collaborate with account managers and on-staff graphic designer on campaigns and design concepts. - Develop and execute design concepts across a range of channels and clients including managing and maintaining brand standards. - Create final deliverables which may include print-ready files, digital graphics, videos, and other formats. - Support job scheduling and workflow in collaboration with in-Agency art team. - Work with outside vendors including printers, photographers, videographers and others. - Manage in-house printers and equipment as well as software versions and font management. - Continually educate yourself, and share learnings, on design, marketing and communications trends . Requirements - 7-10 years experience designing advertising/marketing campaigns at an agency or in-house. - Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in branding, layout design, digital design, and print production. - Proven experience managing graphic design or art teams. - Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and clients. - Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite as well as productivity software including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office. - Familiarity using “consumer” products including Canva. - Experience with website content management systems such as WordPress.
