Senior Estimation Engineer-Civil

1. Pre-Contract Estimation & Tendering

• Lead the estimation and tendering process for civil infrastructure projects, particularly roads, utilities and associated works.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, scope of work and contractual requirements.
• Identify project requirements, potential risks, exclusions and scope gaps.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs and tender submissions.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare detailed rate analysis.
• Develop competitive pricing strategies while ensuring commercial viability.

1. Costing & Quantity Surveying

• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns covering materials, labour, equipment, subcontractors and overheads.
• Analyse project specifications and assess construction methodologies for accurate costing.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Benchmark market rates and maintain an updated cost database.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives.

1. Civil Infrastructure Projects

• Estimate costs for roadworks, earthworks, asphalt works, drainage, stormwater networks and utility infrastructure.
• Handle estimation for water supply, sewerage, irrigation, ducting and associated utility networks.
• Understand infrastructure drawings, technical specifications and construction methods.
• Evaluate quantities and costs for excavation, backfilling, pipe laying, manholes, road construction and reinstatement works.

1. Tender Coordination & Commercial Support

• Coordinate with consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams during the tendering stage.
• Prepare technical and commercial clarifications.
• Participate in pre-tender meetings and site visits.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations and negotiate competitive rates.
• Support the preparation of tender documents and final bid submissions.
• Ensure timely submission of accurate and commercially competitive tenders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in estimation and tendering within civil infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong experience in pre-contract estimation and tender preparation .
• Proven experience in roads, utilities and infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction market rates, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, rate analysis and cost estimation.
• Experience handling large-scale infrastructure tenders independently.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD and estimation software.
• Excellent analytical, commercial negotiation and coordination skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates with experience in UAE-based infrastructure contractors.
• Strong exposure to roads, wet utilities and dry utilities projects.
• Experience handling tenders for government and semi-government infrastructure projects.
• Candidates who have worked in estimation departments rather than exclusively in post-contract QS or project execution roles.

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
