The Senior Draftsman will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans for interior fit-out and joinery projects, collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design accuracy and feasibility, and overseeing the implementation of designs to meet project requirements and quality standards on-site. Key Responsibilities Generate Submission drawings for steel structures as per site condition or design calculations. Generate detailed shop and production drawings for steel structures including bolt layout and weld details. Utilize Tekla for 3D modelling and clash detection; ensure drawings meet project specifications. Update designs in response to engineer feedback; maintain version control. Coordinate with engineers and site teams to resolve drawing-related issues. Conduct self-checks and cross-checks for accuracy. Mentor junior draftsmen and manage drawing logs and document control. Shop drawing preparation- create detailed shop drawing based on architectural and structural drawings. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Possessing strong knowledge of relevant construction methods, building standards, and engineering principles. Generate as build drawing for submission. Requirements Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related. At least 5 years drafting experience , with 5+ years in UAE projects. Expert skills in AutoCAD and Tekla Structures. Strong understanding of steel detailing, welding standards, and fabrication norms. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) Excellent English communication and collaboration skills. High accuracy and attention to detail. Important Job Type: Full-time Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month Application Question(s): How many years of experience do you have preparing shop drawings and production drawings for steel fabrication projects? Which drafting software are you most proficient in for steel structure detailing (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, Advance Steel)? Are you familiar with preparing drawings in accordance with fabrication standards, welding symbols, and structural detailing requirements? Have you coordinated directly with structural engineers, site teams, and fabrication workshops to resolve drawing-related issues? Can you prepare complete drawing packages independently (GA drawings, shop drawings, material lists, etc.) within tight deadlines? Education: Higher diploma (Preferred) Language: English (Required) Hindi (Preferred) License/Certification: Driving Licence (Preferred)
