# Senior Design Engineer - Structured Cabling **UNITED SECURITY GROUP** · Abu Dhabi · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 4 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Responsible for the design, engineering, coordination, and technical delivery of structured cabling and ICT infrastructure projects in the UAE , ensuring compliance with TDRA requirements, consultant specifications, international standards, and project requirements. Key Responsibilities - Lead the design of structured cabling, fibre-optic, OSP/ISP, MDF/IDF, TR/ER, and data centre cabling systems . - Prepare and review AutoCAD drawings, riser diagrams, rack elevations, cable schedules, fibre schedules, schematics, and as-built drawings . - Design copper and fibre systems including Cat 6/Cat 6A, SM/MM fibre, backbone and horizontal cabling . - Prepare BOQs, material take-offs, technical specifications, and material submittals. - Ensure designs comply with UAE/TDRA requirements, TIA, ISO/IEC, BICSI and project specifications . - Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, telecom providers, MEP/ELV teams, and other stakeholders. - Review shop drawings, RFIs, technical submissions, and consultant comments. - Conduct site surveys and provide technical support during installation and project execution. - Review and resolve design-related site issues and technical queries. - Support testing and commissioning and review copper certification, OTDR, and fibre-loss test reports . - Lead design coordination and provide technical guidance to junior engineers/designers. - Support project handover, including as-built drawings, test reports, O&M documentation, and final technical submissions. Requirements - Bachelor's degree/diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, ICT, or related engineering discipline . - 6–8+ years of structured cabling/ICT/ELV design experience , preferably in the UAE. - Strong UAE project experience with consultants, contractors, developers, and telecom providers. - Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fibre optics, OSP/ISP, FTTx, MDF/IDF, ODF/FDF, racks, pathways, and containment . - Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office ; Revit/BIM and Navisworks are an advantage. - Good knowledge of TDRA/UAE requirements and authority/consultant approval processes . - Strong technical coordination, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. - BICSI/RCDD or manufacturer certification is an advantage.
