Working closely with business stakeholders, analysts, architects and technical teams, you will develop scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics and Microsoft data integration technologies. You will play a key role in enabling the collection, transformation, storage and delivery of data from multiple internal and external sources, helping the organisation maximise the value of its data assets. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building modern cloud-based data solutions and driving innovation through data. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, integrations and data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics and related Microsoft technologies. - Build and optimise ETL and ELT processes to support reporting, business intelligence, analytics and artificial intelligence initiatives. - Design and maintain data lake, Lakehouse, data warehouse and semantic model architectures to support organisational data requirements. - Develop robust integrations between cloud-based and on-premise systems, ensuring data is accessible, secure and reliable. - Implement data quality controls, monitoring processes, governance standards and security measures to maintain data integrity and compliance. - Support the modernisation of legacy reporting and data platforms, helping drive the adoption of Microsoft Fabric and cloud-based technologies. - Collaborate with Business Intelligence developers, analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. - Produce high-quality technical documentation, solution designs and operational procedures while contributing to platform enhancement and continuous improvement activities. Skills and Experience: - Strong experience developing enterprise data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics and Microsoft cloud technologies. - Advanced SQL skills with experience designing, developing and optimising data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes and large-scale data solutions. - Strong understanding of data warehouse, data lake and Lakehouse architectures, including data modelling techniques such as star schema and dimensional modelling. - Experience building secure, scalable and high-performing data platforms that support reporting, analytics and business intelligence requirements. - Desirable experience supporting AI, machine learning or advanced analytics initiatives. - Knowledge of data governance, data quality, security principles and regulatory compliance requirements. - Experience working with Power BI semantic models, reporting solutions and modern analytics platforms. - Experience integrating multiple business systems, applications and third-party data sources using cloud-based technologies. - Desirable experience with Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Purview, Python, Spark, DataOps, DevOps, AI platforms or large-scale cloud modernisation projects.
