# Senior Creative Designer **DORIX** · London W1J · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 2 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Senior Creative Designer Location: London, fully office-based Salary: £50,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience Employment: Full-time, permanent About DORIX DORIX is a British-engineered smart access company developing smart locks, security cylinders, doors, padlocks and connected access solutions. We combine technology with considered British design to create products that feel reassuring, intuitive and architectural. Our ambition is to build a distinctive British brand that goes Beyond Access. We are expanding our in-house marketing team and looking for an experienced creative professional who can produce excellent work across product visualisation, packaging, print, digital, video and social media. The Role You will be our hands-on specialist for visual design and production. One day you may be creating a photorealistic KeyShot render of a new smart lock. The next, you may be designing its retail packaging, producing a catalogue, preparing an AI-assisted launch video or designing a website page in Figma. You will work with marketing, product engineering, suppliers and web development colleagues. This is a practical production role, not an agency management position. We need someone who can take a brief, make sound design decisions and deliver finished, accurate, production-ready assets. What You Will Do 3D Product Modelling and KeyShot Visualisation - Create premium, photorealistic product images in KeyShot for our smart locks, cylinders, padlocks, doors and accessories. - Import and prepare CAD models, engineering drawings and supplier files, including STEP, IGES, STL, OBJ and FBX formats. - Model, edit or repair product geometry using Blender, SolidWorks, Fusion, Rhino or an equivalent professional application. - Build realistic metals, coatings, plastics, glass, textures, lighting, reflections and finishes. - Produce hero renders, close-ups, multiple views, finish variations, 360-degree presentations and product animations. - Create exploded views, cutaways, assembly illustrations and technically accurate installation visuals. - Place products convincingly in residential, commercial and architectural settings. - Prepare high-resolution artwork for print and optimised assets for websites and video. - Check every visual against approved dimensions, materials and product specifications. Never invent a feature or alter the appearance of a real product for visual effect. Product Packaging and Print Production - Design retail boxes, sleeves, labels, inserts, hanging cards, shipping cartons, display packaging and point-of-sale materials. - Develop packaging concepts and create realistic 3D mock-ups for review. - Work with manufacturers' structural dielines, accurate dimensions and supplied print specifications. - Prepare artwork containing approved product descriptions, SKUs, GTINs, barcodes, QR codes, safety information and applicable compliance marks. - Handle CMYK and spot colours, bleed, trim, folds, varnishes, foils, embossing and other relevant print finishes. - Produce press-ready Adobe Illustrator and InDesign files with linked assets and correct file preparation. - Review proofs and production samples, checking dimensions, print quality, barcode legibility and version accuracy. - Maintain a controlled library of packaging artwork for different products, variants and markets. Graphic Design and Marketing Materials - Design premium product catalogues, brochures, technical sheets, manuals, installation guides and corporate presentations. - Create advertising artwork, campaign graphics, exhibition stands, trade displays, retail signage and promotional materials. - Produce diagrams, icons, infographics, comparison graphics and product illustrations. - Design email graphics, digital adverts, website banners and assets for sales and trade partners. - Follow the DORIX visual identity, typography, colour, imagery and castle-based product naming conventions. - Prepare final artwork for print and digital publication, with careful proofreading and technical checks. AI Imagery, Video and Motion - Create high-quality AI-assisted campaign imagery, lifestyle scenes, architectural environments and storyboards. - Produce AI-assisted promotional videos, product films, short clips and campaign variations. - Integrate genuine product renders with generated environments while preserving accurate product design. - Use prompting, reference images, masking, compositing and post-production to achieve consistent results. - Edit filmed and generated footage, add motion graphics, titles, subtitles, voiceover and sound. - Produce content for product launches, website pages, Instagram Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube. - Check visual authenticity, commercial usage rights and brand suitability before publication. Website UI and Digital Design - Design responsive website pages, product pages, campaign landing pages and e-commerce graphics in Figma. - Create wireframes, high-fidelity mock-ups, prototypes, icons and reusable UI components. - Work within DORIX's approved website design system and collaborate with developers on handover and visual QA. - Consider accessibility, clear navigation, user experience, conversion and image performance. - Prepare and optimise assets for WordPress and WooCommerce. Coding the website is not a requirement. Social Media and Creative Operations - Plan, create, schedule and publish approved content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube. - Manage a content calendar covering products, campaigns, events and company news. - Produce posts, carousels, reels, animations, captions and short-form videos appropriate to each platform. - Review reach, engagement and content performance, and recommend improvements. - Monitor responses and direct product or customer service questions to the appropriate colleague. - Photograph and film products where required, including basic studio lighting, image editing and retouching. - Organise source files, renders, templates, footage and approved artwork so the wider team can use them reliably. - Manage several briefs at once and coordinate artwork approvals with marketing, engineering and suppliers. Essential Experience and Skills - At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, with a strong portfolio of commercial work. - Advanced Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign skills, including multi-page layouts and print production. - Strong hands-on KeyShot experience producing photorealistic images of manufactured products. - Working proficiency in at least one 3D modelling or CAD package, with the ability to work from engineering files rather than images alone. - Proven experience designing retail product packaging that has reached production, including dielines and print-ready artwork. - Ability to interpret drawings, dimensions and product specifications accurately. - Practical experience with AI image and video creation, supported by finished examples. - Good Figma skills and an understanding of responsive website UI design. - Competence in video editing, motion graphics and social media content production. - Knowledge of colour management, print files, typography, photography and digital image optimisation. - Strong communication, organisation, attention to detail and the ability to deliver independently. - Confident written English and the ability to create clear, professional customer-facing copy. Software Expertise Core requirements: - KeyShot / KeyShot Studio - Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat Pro - One of Blender, SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion, Rhino or comparable 3D modelling software - Figma - Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve - Adobe After Effects or comparable motion graphics software AI tools: Practical experience with relevant tools such as Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT image generation, Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI, Runway, Google Veo, Sora or Kling. You do not need to know every platform, but you must be able to show professional results. Digital tools: Experience with Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn company pages, YouTube Studio and social media scheduling tools. WordPress, WooCommerce, Google Analytics 4, CapCut, Adobe Substance 3D and basic HTML/CSS are useful additional skills. Particularly Valuable Experience We would be interested in experience with consumer electronics, security hardware, architectural products or smart home technology. Product photography, studio lighting, animation of mechanical assemblies, packaging supplier coordination, retail merchandising, exhibition graphics and digital advertising production would all be valuable. What We Are Looking For You have strong creative judgement and care about the small details. You are equally comfortable preparing a technically accurate 3D product render and designing a polished catalogue page. You can explain your decisions, respond constructively to feedback and manage work through to final approval. We value excellent finished work and proven technical ability more than a long list of software names.
