# Senior Contract Engineer M/F **SPIE** · Doha · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Job Description Job title/position Senior Contract Engineer M/F Type of Contract Fixed-term-contract Nature of contract Full time Contract length 2 years Your mission We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy Doha Senior Contract Engineer Job Purpose To support the effective planning, tendering, negotiation, and administration of contracts for offshore and onshore maintenance activities, ensuring optimized production uptime, cost efficiency, compliance with company policies, and effective risk management within oil & gas operations. Contract Strategy & Tendering Work closely with the DUET counterpart to prepare contract dossiers and define contractual responsibilities. Participate in the validation and implementation of contract strategies. Conduct market surveys and maintain an up-to-date database of qualified contractors, suppliers, and potential bidders. Analyze market responses and assess contractor capabilities. Arrange, coordinate, and participate in Contracts Committee meetings. Pre-qualify bidders and develop bidder lists for tendering activities. Define target prices and establish commercial evaluation criteria. Prepare and issue Call for Tender (CFT) documentation to contractors and suppliers. Create and manage commercial tender documents in accordance with company procedures. Contract Evaluation & Negotiation Analyze commercial bids and support technical-commercial evaluations. Participate in contract negotiations with suppliers and contractors. Prepare recommendations for contract awards and present findings to management and committees. Ensure commercial risks are identified and properly managed throughout the contracting process. Contract Administration Ensure all contractual obligations and deliverables are properly managed and monitored. Maintain and update contract management systems and tools. Monitor contractor performance and contract KPIs. Support the administration of frame agreements (FALTC) and other long-term contractual arrangements. Ensure contractual compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Insurance & Risk Management Ensure insurance requirements related to company personnel, assets, and contractors are properly addressed. Contribute to risk assessments related to maintenance and contracting activities. Support risk mitigation initiatives throughout the contract lifecycle. Continuous Improvement Keep informed of industry best practices and developments in contract management. Propose and implement improvements to contracting processes and procedures. Share lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Contracts & Procurement function. Your profile Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Law, Engineering, Science, or related discipline. Alternatively, Higher Secondary School Education with a three-year Technical Diploma (HNC, HND, or equivalent) may be considered with extensive relevant experience. Minimum 8 to 12 years of postgraduate experience in Contracts and Procurement within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Energy industry. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Contracts Engineer or equivalent position. Experience in offshore maintenance contracts is preferred. Knowledge of tendering, contract negotiation, administration, and supplier management practices. Technical Competencies Advanced knowledge of Contracts & Procurement (C&P) processes. Strong understanding of commercial bid analysis and contract negotiation. Advanced competency in contracts technical disciplines. Advanced certification in C&P tools and contract management systems is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and contract management software. Personal Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent planning, organizing, coordinating, and control skills. Effective stakeholder and relationship management capabilities. Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to work in multicultural and international environments. Language Requirements Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
