Position Overview Autun Contractors is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager with a strong background in commercial and hospitality construction. This individual will be responsible for leading complex projects from pre-construction through closeout, overseeing all aspects of project execution while maintaining schedule, budget, quality, and communication across the project team. Responsibilities Manage commercial and hospitality construction projects from pre-construction through completion Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cost reports, procurement schedules, and forecasts Review architectural, structural, MEP, and detailed construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work Coordinate with clients, architects, interior designers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams Manage subcontractor bidding, bid leveling, selection, contracting, scheduling, and performance Prepare and process AIA billing, including G702/G703 applications for payment Manage change orders, subcontractor requisitions, purchase orders, lien waivers, Certificates of Insurance (COIs), contracts, and related project documentation Monitor project costs and proactively identify potential budget or schedule impacts Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, samples, approvals, meeting minutes, and drawing revisions Oversee procurement and tracking of long-lead materials, custom finishes, millwork, stone, fixtures, equipment, and specialty items Coordinate MEP systems, specialty trades, and detailed architectural finishes Work closely with superintendents and field teams to coordinate trades, resolve field conditions, and maintain project schedules Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, workmanship, sequencing, and compliance with project requirements Lead project, client, and coordination meetings and provide clear updates regarding schedule, budget, procurement, and outstanding items Review subcontractor invoices and payment applications for accuracy and completion of work Anticipate construction challenges and develop solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget Oversee punch lists and project closeout, including inspections, warranties, manuals, approvals, and final documentation Ensure compliance with applicable permits, building codes, insurance requirements, safety standards, and company procedures Provide leadership and direction to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and other project team members as needed Qualifications Minimum 7+ years of construction project management experience with a general contractor Strong experience managing commercial and hospitality construction projects, including restaurants, hotels, luxury retail, offices, or similar high-end interior build-outs New York City construction experience strongly preferred Proven ability to independently manage complex projects from pre-construction through final closeout Experience with full-gut renovations, commercial build-outs, renovations within existing or occupied buildings, and highly detailed custom interiors Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, MEP coordination, building systems, and specialty finishes Working knowledge of AIA billing, G702/G703 forms, COIs, change orders, requisitions, contracts, lien waivers, and construction financial documentation Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and detailed construction drawings Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration Proven ability to manage subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and field teams Experience working directly with architects, designers, ownership teams, and clients Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple active projects and priorities Proficiency with construction management, scheduling, and Microsoft Office software Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant construction experience Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on, proactive Senior Construction Project Manager who understands the demands of high-end commercial and hospitality construction.
