We deliver value to travelers, partners, and policymakers through communications that are sharp, credible, and designed to travel. We operate as a newsroom: fast-moving, editorially driven, and built for distribution at scale. We are investing in the systems, channels, and distribution muscle that ensure every story we develop reaches the right audience, in the right format, at the right time. The Role As Senior Communications Manager, you will own the operational backbone of GetYourGuide's newsroom. You’ll build the infrastructure it runs on –the story pipeline, media CRM, distribution channels, and owned properties — and you ensure that our original storytelling moves through the system and lands at the right time and on the right channels. Your Mission Operationalize the publishing pipeline — give the team full visibility on what’s shipped when, what's in development, what's live, and what's next; ensure every story has a clear distribution path and moves on time Build and maintain distribution operations — own end-to-end publishing across external, internal, and owned channels; maintain global media database including beats, relationship status, and pitching notes; drive distribution with agency, freelance partners, and key internal stakeholders Lead media relations and targeted pitching — drive outreach using our CRM and media tracker, build tailored pitch lists per outlet format (press, podcasts, newsletters), manage distribution via agencies and freelancers, and strengthen our global media network over time Own and develop our owned channels — maintain press page as a trusted destination for up-to-date information on the experience economy; develop and run media alerts including cadence, content selection, and performance tracking Explore and pilot new media formats — identify and test formats that extend GYG's corproate reach (podcasts, Substack, AMAs, creator partnerships, emerging channels); track engagement and bring recommendations on what to scale, iterate, or sunset Manage social distribution — build a consistent motion in collaboration with B2B,Employer Brand, and other teams; publish regularly and keep the pipeline moving without bottlenecks Your Toolkit Proven track record in communications, content operations, or media — you know how newsrooms or editorial teams work and can raise the bar on ours Strong track record of operational delivery — you are organised, process-driven, and thrive on owning systems end-to-end; you make "go / no-go" decisions quickly and keep pipelines moving Hands-on media relations experience — you know the media landscape well, grasp its rapid evolution, and have a track record of helping brands break through Excellent channel fluency — you understand how stories travel across channels and can define channel strategy per story (what goes where, and why) Comfortable working with AI and automation tools to speed up research, drafting, tracking, and coordination — you use them as a default, not an afterthought Strong written English and communication skills — you can package raw materials (quotes, stakeholder context, positioning) into finished, channel-ready Extras that give you an edge Background in PR, Comms or content marketing at a tech company (B2C preferred) Experience building or managing a media CRM and pitching cadence from scratch Familiarity with the travel, experiences, or marketplace industry Native-level German a plus How we’ll make your career journey extraordinary Annual personal growth budget and mentorship programs for continuous learning and development Work from anywhere in the world for 30 days per year A hybrid working approach with three days of in office collaboration (Mon, Tue, Thur) and two days of optional at home focus time. Opportunities to collaborate and socialize with team members through quarterly team events and yearly company-wide events Monthly transportation and fitness budget Discounts for you, your friends, and family on GetYourGuide activities Language reimbursement program Health and wellness benefits And more… How to apply Submit your CV/resume in English using the form below.
