# Senior COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) Analyst **Digital Room (Philippines) Inc** · Mandaluyong · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 3 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Digital Room Inc is hiring Senior COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) Analyst! ABOUT THE ROLE Digital Room is looking for a Senior COGS Analyst to own the accuracy and integrity of our Cost of Goods Sold data across our product and production ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of finance, production, and product configuration — translating how items are actually made (paper, ink, labor, embellishments, bindery, and packaging) into cost structures that drive accurate pricing, margin visibility, and sound business decisions. You'll work closely with pricing, order management, and plant operations teams to keep cost factors current as products, materials, and production methods evolve, and you'll be a key resource for onboarding other analysts into how COGS is built and maintained. WHAT YOU'LL DO? Own and maintain CoGS mapping across the product → order spec → OSO (Order Spec Option) hierarchy within our internal order management system (IMS), ensuring cost factors stay accurate as products and processes change. Lead labor rate reviews and recalculations across departments (e.g., Digital Labor vs. Bindery Labor), confirming which processes and product lines each labor pool applies to. Analyze gross margin by product line and account type, identifying and explaining variances, and flagging where actual costs are drifting from expected/passing thresholds. Build and maintain cost compilations for raw materials (including large-format materials), confirming correct facility/plant routing in partnership with plant managers and operations contacts. Evaluate the cost impact of production changes — for example, ink reduction initiatives on Web Press-produced items (notepads, booklets, and related products), or new embellishment processes such as raised foil on stickers/labels versus business cards — and confirm whether a change should be applied broadly or scoped to a specific product line. Partner with product and pricing teams to prepare COGS breakdowns and cost factor rundowns for internal stakeholders (e.g., explaining how factors are calculated, providing order breakdowns by major account type). Support new labelmaster/embellishment capability rollouts by costing out incremental labor and material additions (e.g., additional cost to add foil embellishment to an existing product). Maintain clean, well-documented cost files and shared references (e.g., material compilations, labor classification lists) so cost logic is traceable and auditable. Participate in and help drive recurring COGS review meetings/sprints, keeping open items and data requests moving to closure. QUALIFICATIONS 4+ years of experience in cost accounting, COGS analysis ideally in print, packaging, manufacturing, or a similarly production-intensive industry. Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills (large, multi-tab cost compilations, lookups, reconciliation) — direct experience with an MIS/order management system (e.g., an IMS-type platform) is a plus. Demonstrated ability to map production processes (e.g., hand-gluing vs. machine gluing, table cutting vs. die cutting, offset vs. digital press) to accurate cost and labor structures. Comfort working with ambiguous or incomplete data — able to identify gaps, chase down the right stakeholders (plant managers, production leads), and drive information requests to closure. Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain cost methodology clearly to non-finance stakeholders. A track record of proactive ownership: taking an assigned analysis through to completion, flagging blockers early, and providing regular progress updates on multi-week projects. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Experience with packaging cost structures (e.g., RSC — Regular Slotted Container — and similar corrugated/box formats, BoxMaker-type costing matrices). Experience supporting new product or embellishment launches from a costing perspective. Prior experience training or mentoring junior analysts on COGS methodology. Pay: Php40,000.00 - Php55,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate: Mandaluyong: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred) Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: Cost accounting: 4 years (Preferred) Costing Analysis: 2 years (Preferred) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Mandaluyong
