About the Position

As a Senior Cloud Architect at T-Systems International, you will design innovative, secure, and scalable cloud and software architectures for high-impact enterprise client projects. Combining strategic architectural vision with hands-on technical expertise, you will lead the conception, modernization, and continuous evolution of complex enterprise IT landscapes.

In this key role, you will bridge the gap between business objectives and technology. Collaborating closely with clients, product managers, and engineering teams, you will translate complex business needs into resilient multi-cloud strategies (AWS, Azure, GCP, Open Telekom Cloud). Leveraging cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and modern DevOps practices, you will provide technical leadership, mentor delivery teams, and drive sustainable architecture governance across diverse digital transformation journeys.

What You Bring

• Extensive Architecture Experience : Proven track record in software and cloud architecture, with in-depth knowledge of distributed systems and microservices
• Hyperscaler Expertise : Hands-on experience with at least one leading cloud provider (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Open Telekom Cloud)
• Containerization & Orchestration : Strong practical proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes within production environments
• Cloud Security & High Availability : Sound expertise in platform resilience, cloud compliance, scalability, and robust system operations
• DevOps & CI/CD : Solid understanding of modern continuous integration, delivery pipelines, and automated deployment practices
• Analytical & Strategic Thinking : Demonstrated capability to translate complex technical and business requirements into viable, cost-effective architecture concepts
• Stakeholder & Advisory Skills : Excellent communication abilities to advise teams and articulate architectural choices clearly in both German and English

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible, alongside CI/CD automation platforms (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Broad knowledge across multiple hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP, Open Telekom Cloud) and proven experience in large-scale cloud migration and modernization programs
• Programming proficiency in modern languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Spring Boot, Go, Python)
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and establishing technical governance standards across distributed teams
• Expertise in API management, event-driven architectures, observability, and modern platform engineering
• Exposure to AI-assisted software development, Generative AI, or integrating AI/ML services into cloud-native architectures
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, CKA, or SAFe/Scrum)
