Senior Civil / Site Engineer – Structural & Finishes

Blue Diamond General Trading LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Civil / Site Engineer to oversee structural execution, site activities, waterproofing, and premium architectural finishes for a luxury hospitality construction project.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on site engineering experience, preferably in international 4- or 5-star hotels, luxury commercial fit-outs, or high-end residential developments. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong site coordination skills, and the ability to maintain high construction quality standards throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Structural Works & Site Execution

• Supervise concrete reinforcement, formwork, masonry, and structural steel installation in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify structural quality, dimensions, alignment, and compliance with engineering requirements.
• Identify and report construction defects, including concrete honeycombing, dimensional deviations, and structural alignment issues.
• Coordinate corrective actions before subsequent construction activities proceed.

1. Architectural Finishes & Interior Fit-Out

• Supervise premium finishing works, including plastering, flooring, tiling, natural marble installation, and decorative finishes.
• Ensure accurate wall verticality, floor levels, right-angle corners, and seamless joints in accordance with project tolerances.
• Oversee drywall partitions, ceiling framing, multi-layer ceiling systems, and concealed lighting interfaces.
• Inspect workmanship to ensure finishes meet luxury hospitality quality standards.

1. Waterproofing & Acoustic Insulation

• Supervise waterproofing works in guest bathrooms, commercial kitchens, basements, rooftops, and other moisture-sensitive areas.
• Ensure waterproofing materials and application methods comply with approved specifications and manufacturer requirements.
• Coordinate inspections and water testing before covering waterproofed surfaces.
• Monitor acoustic insulation and guestroom partition installations to meet specified soundproofing requirements.

1. Materials & Site Logistics

• Monitor construction material consumption, storage, handling, and distribution.
• Control material wastage, particularly for imported tiles, marble, and other high-value finishing materials.
• Coordinate material requirements and deliveries with procurement and project management teams.
• Maintain organized and safe site storage and distribution practices.

1. Site Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate daily site reports, engineering records, and photographic documentation.
• Prepare and coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs), site inspection records, and as-built drawing markups.
• Report progress, quality concerns, material requirements, and site constraints to the Senior Project Manager / Owner.
• Ensure site activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable safety requirements.

1. Subcontractor & Workforce Management

• Supervise site crews, subcontractors, and finishing teams to ensure work is completed according to project schedules.
• Coordinate with MEP, architectural, structural, and other project teams to resolve site conflicts.
• Monitor workmanship, productivity, housekeeping, and compliance with site safety procedures.
• Implement corrective measures when work does not meet the required quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 7–10+ years of relevant site engineering experience in construction projects.
• Proven experience in luxury hospitality construction, 4- or 5-star hotel projects, premium commercial fit-outs, or high-end residential developments.
• Strong knowledge of structural works, architectural finishes, waterproofing systems, and interior fit-out execution.
• Experience supervising subcontractors, site teams, material usage, inspections, and construction quality.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical details.
• Familiarity with site documentation, RFIs, daily progress reporting, and as-built markups.
• Excellent attention to detail, leadership, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
