As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced commercial person who wants to make a genuine impact and grow with us. About the Role This is not a standard field sales job. It's a senior commercial opportunity for someone who can win business, grow important customer relationships, support a small team and help shape how innergy develops its sales function. You'll work across our full product portfolio, including cylinder and bulk LPG, industrial and welding gases, beer and drinks dispense gases, solid fuels, oils, lubricants and greases, welding equipment and consumables, BBQ products, mobile heaters, helium and related gas equipment. You'll have the freedom to manage your territory and pipeline, backed by colleagues across operations, customer service and the wider leadership team. We want someone who is confident with customers, commercially sharp and just as comfortable helping others develop as they are closing a deal. What You'll Be Doing · Manage and grow relationships across new and existing customer accounts. · Develop new business across Yorkshire & the North West and surrounding areas, working across innergy’s full product and service portfolio. · Own the sales pipeline from first conversation through to proposal, negotiation, conversion and account development. · Build relationships with decision-makers, understand their current supply arrangements and identify where innergy can add genuine value. · Deliver agreed sales and margin targets while making sensible, commercially sound decisions. · Plan and carry out customer visits, site assessments and territory activity. · Prepare proposals and negotiate agreements that work well for both the customer and innergy. · Support and help manage a small sales team, helping colleagues prioritise opportunities, develop their skills and deliver against agreed objectives. · Assist with coaching and mentoring team members through regular conversations, shared customer visits and practical support. · Work closely with operations so that customers receive a reliable, joined-up service. · Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, customer notes and activity reporting. · Provide useful market feedback on customer needs, competitor activity, pricing trends and opportunities for new products or services. · Represent innergy professionally and be a trusted ambassador for the business. Development & Career Opportunities We're looking for someone with the experience and ability to operate at a senior level, but this role also has room to grow. You'll receive support and mentoring from innergy's directors and senior leaders, with the opportunity to broaden your commercial and people-management experience. What We're Looking For We're looking for an established salesperson and relationship builder who can bring experience, judgement and positive leadership to the role. · Proven B2B field sales, account management or business development experience. · A strong commercial mind, with confidence around pricing, margin, negotiation and prioritising the right opportunities. · A track record of managing a pipeline and delivering sales growth. · Experience of supporting, coaching or managing others, or clear readiness to take on that responsibility. · Excellent relationship-building skills with customers, suppliers and internal colleagues. · A proactive and organised approach, with the confidence to manage your own diary and territory. · Good judgement, attention to detail and reliable follow-through. · A collaborative style and the ability to contribute beyond your own sales figures. · A full UK driving licence. Experience in gas, energy, fuels, equipment or a related commercial environment would be useful, but the right sales ability, leadership potential and commercial judgement matter most.
