About Sharpline

Sharpline is a bookkeeping firm built exclusively for trade contractors — HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general contracting businesses. We're part of CEO Warrior, a coaching and training company that helps contractors build profitable, well-run companies. Our clients need to know which jobs made money, where cash is tied up, and how to get through the slow season.

Our offshore bookkeeping team handles the day-to-day transaction work. We're looking for a US-based lead to make sure that work is right, keep the team moving, and be the face of Sharpline to our clients.

The Role

You'll supervise our offshore bookkeeping team and be the main point of contact for a portfolio of contractor clients. The offshore team does the bookkeeping; you make sure it's accurate, on time, and understood by the client.

You won't be doing most of the data entry. But you need to know QuickBooks Online well enough to spot an error fast, fix it, and teach the team how to avoid it next time.

What You'll Do

Offshore team supervision

• Assign and prioritize work for the offshore bookkeeping team across the client portfolio
• Review reconciliations, transaction coding, job costing, and month-end closes in QuickBooks Online before anything goes to a client
• Be the team's escalation point: answer technical questions, make judgment calls, and resolve problems they can't
• Track deadlines and close status for every client so nothing slips
• Give clear written feedback and coach the team on recurring errors
• Write and maintain the checklists, SOPs, and close procedures the team works from
• Hold regular check-ins across time zones and keep handoffs clean

Client communication

• Serve as a contact for contractor clients — owners, office managers, and their outside CPAs
• Answer client questions about their books, transactions, and financial reports
• Request and follow up on missing information: receipts, uncategorized transactions, statements, payroll reports, job details
• Turn client requests into clear instructions for the offshore team, and team questions into simple asks for clients
• Onboard new clients: gather access and documents, set expectations, and hand the team a clean setup

Hands-on when it counts

• Step in on complex items yourself: cleanups, unusual entries, WIP and retainage, year-end adjustments

What You Bring

Required

• 4+ years of bookkeeping experience, including at least 2 years at a bookkeeping or accounting firm handling multiple clients
• Deep QuickBooks Online expertise — strong enough to review others' work, catch errors quickly, and fix messy files
• Experience reviewing or supervising other bookkeepers' work
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication with business owners who aren't accountants
• Comfortable leading a remote team across time zones, with flexibility for some early-morning or evening check-ins
• Highly organized; you can track many clients and deadlines at once

Preferred

• Experience managing offshore bookkeeping or accounting teams
• Experience with construction or trade contractor clients (job costing, WIP, retainage, progress billing)
• Strong QuickBooks Online expertise
• Familiarity with field service software a plus (ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber)
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field

What Success Looks Like

First 30 days: You've learned our systems, met the offshore team, and taken over as the contact for your first group of clients.

First 90 days: You're running your full portfolio. Every close is reviewed and delivered on schedule, and both clients and the team come to you first.
