The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automotive Test Engineer to take ownership of testing strategies for embedded/ECU projects. In this role, you will design and execute comprehensive test plans across multiple levels (MIL/SIL/HIL), ensure compliance with rigorous automotive standards, and leverage AI tools to innovate testing processes. Key Responsibilities Test Strategy & Execution: Define test strategies and plans. Design and execute requirement-based test cases across unit, integration, system, and vehicle levels (functional, UDS, communication, fault-injection). Environment & Automation: Set up and maintain HIL/SIL/bench test environments (rest bus simulation, CAN/LIN/Ethernet). Develop automation frameworks and scripts using Python/CAPL/vTESTstudio. Quality & Compliance: Manage defect lifecycles (triage, root-cause analysis). Ensure all testing activities comply with ISO 26262, Automotive SPICE, and customer quality gates. AI-Driven Testing: Apply AI/GenAI tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, MS Copilot) to accelerate test case generation, script development, and data preparation. Leadership & Collaboration: Coach junior engineers, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (SW, HW, System), and support presales with effort estimations. Qualifications Core Experience: Solid background in testing methodologies (Agile/V-model) for automotive embedded/ECU projects. Automotive Tech Stack: Deep knowledge of communication protocols (CAN/CAN FD, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet) and diagnostics (UDS, OBD, DoIP). Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer/CAPL, vTESTstudio, dSPACE, ETAS INCA, or Lauterbach. Programming: Strong proficiency in Python (Mandatory) ; knowledge of CAPL and C/C++ is a plus. Standards & Domain: Familiarity with AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, A-SPICE. (Experience in IVI, ADAS, or Connected Car is a strong advantage). DevOps & AI: Experience integrating test scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab/Azure DevOps) and using AI coding assistants. Language: Good English verbal communication (Japanese or Mandarin is a plus). Key Benefits 14 months' salary per year. 100% salary-based Social Insurance & $3,000/year Private Insurance.
