About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior AutoCAD Draftsman to translate creative concepts into accurate, production-ready technical drawings for events, exhibitions, stages, and experiential installations.

The ideal candidate understands fabrication and installation requirements and can work closely with creative, project management, and production teams to ensure designs are practical and ready for execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, construction details, and shop drawings.
• Develop technical drawings for exhibition stands, event stages, scenic elements, joinery, and custom installations.
• Translate approved concepts and 3D designs into coordinated drawing packages for production and site installation.
• Conduct site surveys and verify dimensions, access requirements, and site conditions.
• Coordinate with creative teams, project managers, estimators, production teams, and vendors to resolve technical requirements.
• Specify dimensions, materials, finishes, fixing details, and assembly requirements clearly.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, buildability, and alignment with approved designs.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and organised project files.
• Support production and installation teams with timely drawing updates and technical clarifications.
• Guide junior draftsmen and maintain consistent drafting standards across projects.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant drafting experience, with a strong background in events, exhibitions, or exhibition stand fabrication.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, particularly detailed 2D drafting and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of joinery, fabrication methods, materials, finishes, and installation processes.
• Ability to interpret creative concepts and identify practical construction solutions.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects and delivering accurate drawings within tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
• Diploma or degree in Architectural Drafting, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• UAE events and exhibitions experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other relevant design software is an advantage.
