We specialize in audit, advisory, and tax services for the financial services industry across Texas. We offer the expertise of a large firm with the flexibility and personal attention of a smaller firm. Position Summary We're looking for a Senior Audit Associate to join our audit team. In this role, you'll work independently on engagement areas of low to moderate complexity, take on more responsibility as you grow with the firm, and start directing and mentoring Audit Associates. You'll gain deep, specialized experience serving community bank and financial institution clients across Texas, with support to keep progressing in your career. Work You'll Do Review or prepare reconciliations of general ledger accounts to subsidiary ledgers, and resolve discrepancies Test the accuracy of account reconciliations and validate client system inputs and calculations Test the effectiveness of client internal controls Prepare analytics of client data and evaluate the appropriateness of clients' significant accounting estimates Document engagement findings, develop recommendations, and present them to clients Prepare basic reports, financial statements, and related footnotes Assist with special projects such as depreciation calculations and regulatory reporting Direct and review the work of Audit Associates, providing feedback and mentorship Assist with engagement planning, timetables, and workpaper preparation Assist with recruiting efforts and in-house training sessions The Successful Candidate Will Have A degree in accounting and prior audit or accounting experience in public or private accounting The ability to work independently on areas of low to moderate complexity Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting findings to clients Sharp analytical and critical-thinking skills A proactive, team-oriented mindset – comfortable assisting Supervisors and mentoring newer staff Willingness to travel to client sites across Texas The Team Our team culture is collaborative and encourages team members to take initiative and seek out on-the-job learning opportunities.
