The role requires strong technical expertise in architecture and interior design, excellent multidisciplinary coordination capabilities, and the ability to manage and monitor a team of architects and detailers to ensure high‑quality project delivery in line with international standards and client expectations. Key ResponsibilitiesArchitectural & Interior Design · Lead the development of architectural and interior design concepts for multiple projects. · Oversee the preparation of schematic, detailed, and IFC drawings, ensuring compliance with project requirements and local regulations. · Review and approve design packages, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and alignment with client objectives. · Ensure all designs comply with international building codes, authority regulations, and industry best practices. Fit‑Out & Interior Drawings · Lead the development, review, and coordination of complete fit‑out design packages. · Oversee detailed interior drawings including layouts, RCPs, wall elevations, joinery details, finishes plans, and material specifications. · Coordinate closely with ID designers, FF&E teams, and specialist suppliers to ensure accurate representation of design intent. · Review and validate shop drawings for joinery, millwork, metalwork, stonework, and decorative elements. · Ensure full coordination of interior drawings with MEP, structural, and specialist systems, resolving clashes prior to issuance. · Conduct technical workshops with contractors and subcontractors to clarify interior details and installation requirements. · Review and approve material samples, mock‑ups, and prototypes to ensure consistency with design intent. · Provide guidance to site teams during fit‑out execution, addressing technical queries and verifying installation quality. · Prepare and review interior fit‑out BOQs, schedules, and specifications for tender and construction stages. Coordination & Project Management · Manage design workflows, schedules, and deliverables across several concurrent projects. · Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure timely progress and issue resolution. · Lead technical workshops and coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts and ensure smooth project progression. · Coordinate closely with MEP, structural, and specialist consultants to ensure fully integrated design solutions. Team Leadership · Supervise, mentor, and guide junior architects, draftsmen, and detailers. · Assign tasks, review outputs, and ensure adherence to quality standards and project timelines. Construction Support · Conduct site visits to verify design implementation and address technical issues. · Review material submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs during construction stages. · Maintain strong professional relationships and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications & Skills · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture. · Minimum 12 years of professional experience, including at least 8 years in the GCC region with a reputable architectural consultancy. · Proven experience managing full design cycles from concept to IFC and tender documentation. · Strong background in both architecture and interior design. · Excellent coordination skills with MEP and structural disciplines. · Proficiency in AutoCAD, and other design tools. · Strong leadership, communication, and team‑management abilities. · Deep understanding of international codes, authority requirements, and construction practices. · Portfolio demonstrating project delivery experience, including IFC architectural and interior drawings.
