Senior Architect

10-15 Years in UAE Engineering Consultancy Project Types: Luxury Villas, Residential Buildings, Commercial Buildings, Warehouses, Industrial Projects .

1. Architectural Design & Development

• Lead architectural design from concept development through detailed design, authority approval, Tender and construction stages.
• Prepare and review architectural drawings, layouts, elevations, sections, 3D models and construction details.
• Develop architectural solutions according to client requirements, project budgets, site conditions and applicable regulations.
• Ensure designs comply with Dubai Municipality, Dubai Building Code, Dubai Civil Defence, Trakhees, DDA, DSO and other relevant authority requirements.
• Review space planning, building functionality, accessibility, fire safety and architectural finishes.
• Ensure coordination between architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Review and approve architectural drawings prepared by junior architects before submission for internal approval.

1. Authority Approvals & Government Coordination

• Independently handle architectural submissions and approvals with relevant Dubai authorities.
• Prepare and submit drawings and technical documentation for building permits, design modifications and completion approvals.
• Coordinate with Dubai Municipality, Dubai Development Authority, Dubai Civil Defence, Trakhees, Dubai Silicon Oasis and relevant master developers.
• Respond to authority comments and resolve technical observations without unnecessary delays.
• Attend authority meetings and technical discussions whenever required.
• Maintain knowledge of current building regulations, submission procedures and approval requirements.
• Monitor authority approval status and ensure timely follow-up until approval is obtained.

1. Project Management & Execution

• Manage multiple architectural projects simultaneously, from design initiation to project completion.
• Prepare architectural design schedules, submission schedules and deliverable trackers.
• Ensure all architectural deliverables are completed within agreed deadlines.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, contractors and specialist consultants.
• Identify design conflicts and provide practical, technically compliant solutions.
• Review contractor submissions, material samples, shop drawings and method statements related to architectural works.
• Attend project progress meetings and provide architectural status reports.
• Ensure design changes are documented, reviewed and communicated to all relevant departments.

1. Site Supervision & Construction Coordination

• Conduct regular site inspections to verify architectural works against approved drawings and specifications.
• Review architectural workmanship, finishes, materials and installation quality.
• Identify construction discrepancies and issue technical observations to contractors.
• Coordinate with site engineers and resident engineers to resolve architectural issues.
• Review and respond to architectural RFIs.
• Inspect mock-ups, material samples and completed architectural works.
• Support snagging, de-snagging and project handover procedures.
• Assist in reviewing as-built drawings and project closeout documentation.

1. Structural, MEP & Multidisciplinary Coordination

• Coordinate architectural design with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection teams.
• Conduct design coordination meetings and resolve clashes between disciplines.
• Ensure architectural layouts accommodate MEP services, equipment spaces, shafts and structural requirements.
• Review coordinated drawings before issuing them for construction.
• Work closely with civil, structural and MEP engineers to ensure technically sound and buildable designs.

1. Client Coordination & Communication

• Attend client meetings independently and represent the engineering consultancy professionally.
• Understand client requirements and convert them into practical architectural solutions.
• Present architectural concepts, design options and technical recommendations.
• Communicate project progress, design changes and approval requirements clearly.
• Address client concerns and provide solutions within agreed timelines.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, contractors, developers and authorities.
• Escalate major technical, commercial or contractual issues to management promptly.

1. Tender Documentation & Technical Specifications

• Prepare architectural tender drawings, specifications and scope-of-work documents.
• Coordinate with quantity surveyors for architectural BOQ preparation.
• Review architectural material specifications and technical requirements.
• Support tender clarifications and technical evaluation of contractor submissions.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities without compromising design quality, safety or compliance.
• Review architectural variations and provide technical recommendations.

1. Team Leadership & Supervision

• Lead and supervise junior architects, architectural draftsmen
• Allocate work according to project priorities and staff capabilities.
• Review drawings for accuracy, coordination and compliance before submission.
• Guide junior team members in design development, technical detailing and authority requirements.
• Conduct internal design reviews and quality checks.
• Monitor team productivity, deadlines and drawing quality.
• Encourage accountability, independent problem-solving and professional development.

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
