For more than two decades, SignalQuest has designed and manufactured rugged sensors used in demanding environments across industries including heavy equipment, industrial systems, and machine control. Our sensors are trusted by major OEMs and leading machine control companies worldwide. All engineering and manufacturing are performed onsite in Lebanon. The company is launching a new brand and product line, , to sell GPS jobsite measurement systems to small business earthwork contractors. This is a major market opportunity, and SignalQuest is building the team to make it happen. Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Application Developer to help build and scale the Kinsman SitePoint platform. This is a hands-on individual contributor role spanning both front-end and back-end application development . The work includes our mobile application, cloud-connected services, SDKs, device communication, and the data and logic that power a precision positioning system used in real-world construction environments. Our mobile application is currently built in Flutter, but prior Flutter experience is not required. We are more interested in finding an outstanding software engineer with strong fundamentals, sound judgment, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly with a great attitude. This role is particularly well suited to someone who enjoys building new products, solving practical technical problems, and working across traditional software boundaries. You will collaborate closely with product, hardware, firmware, and other software engineers to create a seamless end-to-end system built around GNSS RTK and INS measurement technology. Key Responsibilities Application Development Design, develop, test, and maintain core functionality across the SitePoint application platform Build intuitive, reliable, and high-performance user experiences for real-world, field-based workflows Contribute to both front-end and back-end application development as needed Develop and improve map-based and geospatial functionality, including positioning, visualization, jobsite data, and GPS integration Build reliable application logic for handling measurement, positioning, sensor, and other engineering data Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving application behavior, device communication, data quality, performance, and reliability Take ownership of features from initial technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration Mobile Application Development Contribute extensively to our existing Flutter and Dart mobile application Develop new features and improve existing workflows Build robust interfaces between the mobile application, connected hardware, and cloud services Maintain a clean, scalable, and well-tested mobile application architecture Quickly become productive in Flutter if coming from another application development background Backend & System Integration Develop and maintain APIs, backend services, and cloud-connected functionality supporting the application Work with real-time and sensor-generated data throughout the application stack Collaborate with firmware and hardware engineers on Bluetooth and other device communication Help ensure reliable operation across mobile software, cloud services, positioning hardware, and field devices Contribute to architectural decisions across the broader application platform SDK Development & Maintenance Maintain and improve SDKs that allow internal and external applications to integrate with SignalQuest and Kinsman technology Develop clear, stable, and well-documented developer-facing APIs Troubleshoot integration issues and improve SDK reliability, usability, and performance Maintain SDK documentation, sample applications, testing, and release processes Work with internal engineers and external developers to make integrations straightforward and dependable Product & Engineering Work closely with product and engineering team members to translate customer needs into effective technical solutions Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate based on feedback from real-world users Apply strong engineering judgment when balancing speed, simplicity, performance, and maintainability Write clear, maintainable, well-tested production code Participate actively in code reviews and technical design discussions Improve automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and release processes Use modern development tools, including AI-assisted development tools where they are genuinely useful Help build a pragmatic engineering culture focused on solving customer problems effectively Qualifications BS or MS in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience 5–10 years of professional software engineering experience Strong experience building and shipping production applications Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to work effectively across both front-end and back-end systems Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar languages, frameworks, libraries, and technical domains Experience integrating applications with APIs, cloud services, authentication systems, databases, or other backend infrastructure Strong understanding of application architecture, asynchronous programming, networking, data flow, and system integration Experience debugging complex problems spanning multiple parts of a system Strong attention to correctness, reliability, and data quality Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive work through completion Strong collaboration and communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where the product and technical requirements continue to evolve Practical engineering judgment and a preference for simple, effective solutions over unnecessary complexity Positive, collaborative, can-do attitude and enthusiasm for building new products Preferred Experience Experience building scientific, engineering, measurement, or other data-intensive applications Experience working with data quality, validation, uncertainty, or accuracy-sensitive systems Experience with Flutter and Dart Experience developing mobile applications for iOS or Android Experience building or maintaining SDKs, libraries, or developer-facing APIs Experience with map-based or geospatial applications, including mapping SDKs, GPS, coordinate systems, location tracking, or geospatial visualization Experience integrating applications with Bluetooth or other connected hardware Experience working with real-time, sensor-driven, or high-frequency data Familiarity with precision positioning technologies such as GNSS, RTK GPS, or INS Experience developing software that must operate reliably in outdoor, field, or intermittently connected environments Background in construction technology, machine control, surveying, industrial technology, robotics, IoT, scientific instrumentation, or related domains Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
