YOUR EVERYDAY EXPERIENCE IF YOU JOIN US As part of Bureau Veritas's global scale-up of AI, we are recruiting for our Bureau Veritas Global AI & Data Transformation division a Senior AI Solution Architect & Builder (F-M-D) on a permanent contract. Reporting to the Regional AI & Data Hub Technical Lead, you will join our team based in Paris. You will work closely with our operational teams and our clients within the framework of the Regional AI & Data Hub delivery model, collaborating with Product Management, Business SMEs, AI Context Fabric & Semantic Platform teams, Enterprise Architecture, Data Science, and Digital Factory engineering teams. WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH Your mission is to determine, architect, build, and industrialize enterprise-grade AI-enabled solutions that create measurable business value, ensuring these solutions are reliable, reusable, secure, observable, and maintainable in production. Your role is essential to ensuring Bureau Veritas builds the right solution, builds it well, and builds it in a way that can scale across the organization. You will: Evaluate each business problem and determine whether the best solution is AI, deterministic software, rules-based automation, analytics, machine learning, agentic AI, or a hybrid architecture, avoiding AI where simpler, more explainable, lower-cost approaches deliver better outcomes. Translate business journeys into explicit technical designs by mapping inputs, source systems, transformations, decision logic, actions, outputs, user interactions, human judgment points, and operational controls, ensuring designs are anchored in real workflows and measurable value creation. Architect and build production-grade copilots, assistants, agentic workflows, retrieval-based systems, decision-support tools, workflow automation capabilities, and AI-enabled business applications, remaining hands-on in critical component implementation and providing code-level guidance where needed. Design and build AI wrappers that turn foundation model capabilities into trusted Bureau Veritas business applications, developing service layers, prompt orchestration, tool invocation patterns, agent execution environments, human-in-the-loop controls, workflow abstractions, and enterprise guardrails. Apply evaluation-driven development, prompt and workflow versioning, agent testing strategies, automated evaluation pipelines, AI observability, hallucination monitoring, experiment tracking, feedback loops, LLMOps practices, and release management, treating prompts, workflows, and semantic context as governed production assets. Define system boundaries, integration patterns, APIs, trust boundaries, data and context flows, failure modes, autonomy levels, scalability approaches, security models, and operational support patterns, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, the Shared AI Technical Foundation, and AI Context Fabric standards. Use enterprise context assets, taxonomies, metadata, business concepts, data products, and knowledge sources to ground AI solutions in Bureau Veritas business meaning, contributing reusable semantic models, retrieval patterns, connectors, and contextual assets back to the shared foundation. Move solutions from concept and prototype into production operation with monitoring, logging, observability, evaluations, deployment pipelines, controls, and support models, using production signals and user feedback to continuously improve solutions. Create reusable architectural patterns, AI wrappers, prompt libraries, agent frameworks, integration connectors, evaluation templates, solution blueprints, and reference implementations that reduce duplication across regions and business lines. THE SKILLS THAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT Solution and application architecture expertise (API-first design, distributed systems, cloud-native design, event-driven architecture) — Enables you to design robust, scalable solutions that integrate seamlessly with Bureau Veritas's enterprise systems and support long-term evolution. Hands-on software engineering with production-grade discipline (Python, security-by-design, observability, CI/CD) — Allows you to remain close to the build, ensure code-level quality, and guarantee solutions are secure and operationally reliable from day one. LLM application development and modern AI engineering (retrieval-augmented generation, agent frameworks, prompt engineering) — Gives you the technical foundation to architect and build production-grade copilots, assistants, and agentic workflows rather than isolated prototypes. AI evaluation and LLMOps discipline (evaluation-driven development, observability, hallucination monitoring, release management) — Ensures the AI solutions you build are governed, monitored, and continuously improved as trusted production assets. Data integration and semantic modeling expertise (knowledge systems, enterprise data platforms, semantic models) — Allows you to ground AI solutions in real Bureau Veritas business meaning and contribute reusable assets to the AI Context Fabric. Pragmatic judgment on when to use AI versus deterministic software or automation — Ensures Bureau Veritas avoids technology-first implementations and consistently selects the most reliable, explainable, and cost-effective solution for each business problem. Workflow decomposition and cross-audience design communication — Enables you to break down complex business journeys into inputs, decisions, and failure modes clearly to business stakeholders and directly actionable for engineering teams. Pragmatic technical leadership and collaboration — Allows you to guide engineers, constructively challenge premature solutioning, and build organizational adoption through working solutions that demonstrate measurable value. WHAT YOU MUST HAVE You hold a Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science from a recognized school. You have minimum 10 years of experience across software engineering, solution architecture, enterprise integration, digital product development, AI engineering, or enterprise-scale platform delivery, with a proven ability to design and build complex solutions under ambiguity and across diverse stakeholder environments.
