Senior AI Engineer – LLM, RAG, Computer Vision & AI Agents

Swedish Technology | Abu Dhabi, UAE (on-site, with occasional Dubai travel) | Full-time, permanent

About the role We’re hiring a Senior AI Engineer to design, build and deploy production AI systems for government and enterprise clients across the UAE. You’ll lead the technical work on generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents and computer vision, much of it on private, on-premise infrastructure where data security is critical.

Responsibilities

• Design and build LLM applications: RAG pipelines, AI agents, multi-agent workflows and tool use
• Deploy and optimise open-source LLMs on-premise (LLaMA, DeepSeek, Qwen, Mistral) using vLLM / Ollama / TGI
• Build computer vision solutions: object detection, tracking, OCR and video analytics (YOLO, OpenCV)
• Fine-tune and evaluate models (LoRA/QLoRA), and build evaluation and guardrail frameworks
• Develop vector search and knowledge systems (Qdrant/Milvus/pgvector, Neo4j knowledge graphs)
• Ship production APIs and services (Python, FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes) with MLOps and monitoring
• Integrate AI with enterprise systems (Odoo/Oracle ERP, IoT/RFID platforms, dashboards)
• Lead solution design for client proposals and RFPs, and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, AI or a related field
• 6+ years in software/AI engineering, with 4+ years hands-on in ML/AI
• 3+ years building with LLMs, RAG, AI agents or computer vision
• At least 2 AI solutions taken into production, with evidence (projects, GitHub, case studies)
• Strong Python; PyTorch; LangChain/LangGraph/LlamaIndex; Hugging Face
• Experience with on-premise/GPU deployment and Linux
• UAE-based (Abu Dhabi preferred); valid UAE driving licence

Nice to have

• Government or regulated-sector projects in the GCC
• Speech AI (Whisper/TTS), multimodal models, digital twins, IoT/RTLS
• Arabic language skills
