Senior AI Developer / AI Specialist

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief of Creative and Media Production, the Senior AI Developer / AI Specialist will design, build, deploy and maintain AI applications for marketing, promotion and public relations. The role covers technical architecture, integrations, bilingual evaluation, operational reliability and ongoing product improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate business and client needs into practical technical specifications and solutions.
• Build AI applications, interfaces and APIs for content, campaign and PR workflows.
• Develop document-processing, search and retrieval capabilities with source traceability.
• Integrate language models and evaluate Arabic and English performance with the AI Prompt Specialist.
• Implement version control, testing, deployment, monitoring and recovery procedures.
• Protect credentials and confidential information, with appropriate separation of client data and access.
• Monitor reliability, latency and operating costs and resolve production issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, support onboarding and mentor colleagues.

Requirements:

• Fluency in Arabic and English, including technical communication and documentation.
• Demonstrated senior-level ownership of deployed software or AI systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Competence in APIs, data handling, version control, testing and deployment.
• Practical understanding of language-model integration, retrieval, evaluation and failure handling.
• Ability to implement appropriate security and client-data access controls.
• Strong business judgement, accountability and ability to deliver within a startup environment.

Preferred qualifications:

• Studies in computer science, software engineering, AI or a related field, or equivalent engineering experience.
• Experience delivering AI or automation systems in startups, agencies or product teams.
• Experience with Arabic NLP, multimodal workflows, cloud infrastructure, containers and databases.
• Familiarity with monitoring, multi-client architecture and user-interface development.
• Experience in client discovery, technical mentoring and marketing or PR applications.
