Senior Accounts Manager

• Lead end-to-end accounting functions, financial reporting, cash flow controls, and statutory compliance (such as GST, TDS, and audits).
• Reporting To: Directors, Partners, or Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
• Team Supervision: Manages junior accountants, ledger clerks, and the finance team. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Operations & Reporting:
• Oversee day-to-day general ledger accounting, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Generate Management Information System (MIS) reports and dashboards for senior leadership. [1]
• Compliance & Taxation:
• Handle GST computations, filings, and reconciliations.
• Manage TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory/labor compliances.
• Coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits. [1]
• Budgeting & Cost Control:
• Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor operational costs, cash flow projections, and working capital. [1]
• Team Leadership:
• Mentor, train, and review the work of accounting staff. [1, 2]

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com); Master’s (M.Com), MBA (Finance), CA Inter, CA, or CMA preferred. [1]
• Experience: Generally 5 to 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Industry-specific experience
