  • Support indirect rate calculations, incurred cost submissions as applicable, audit schedules, and compliance with FAR cost principles and relevant DCAA requirements.
  • Document and improve manual procedures, strengthen internal controls, identify errors, and provide technical accounting guidance and financial insight to executive leadership.
  • Lead preparation of federal cost and pricing proposals for RFPs, RFQs, and task orders, including complete Excel pricing models, cost volumes, narratives, and supporting schedules.
  • Build fully burdened labor rates using direct labor, fringe, overhead, G&A, and profit; model FFP, T&M, and cost-reimbursement pricing approaches.
  • Analyze price competitiveness, profitability, assumptions, escalation, subcontractor/consultant rates, and contract performance against proposed margins.
  • Partner with business development and proposal teams on pricing strategy, compliance with solicitation instructions, pricing negotiations, modifications, and option-year pricing.

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including substantial federal government contracting accounting experience and 7+ years in senior accounting leadership.
  • Current, hands-on Deltek Costpoint expertise across core accounting functions; demonstrated proficiency with indirect rates, government contract billing, and month-end close.
  • At least 5 years personally developing successful federal government contract cost and pricing proposals, including labor rate build-ups and detailed Excel models.
