Generate client invoices, track incoming collections, and record receipts (Accounts Receivable). Perform daily/weekly bank reconciliations and manage petty cash records. Prepare basic journal entries for routine expenses, accruals, and ledger maintenance. Maintain and update vendor/client master databases. Collate supporting documents, bills, and challans for statutory filings (e.g., GST, TDS, PF/ESIC deductions) and internal audits. Assist in month-end closing by organizing ledger accounts and pulling trial balance drafts. Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and inter-company transactions. Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing schedules; generate Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, and Cash Flow drafts. Oversee full-cycle statutory compliance, including tax computations, timely filing of returns (Direct & Indirect taxes: GST, TDS, Corporate Tax), and regulatory remittances. Coordinate statutory, tax, and internal audits by preparing schedules, ledger extracts, and resolving auditor queries. Perform variance analysis (budget vs. actuals) and identify discrepancies in cost centers or expense line items. Monitor working capital, cash flow forecasting, and debt aging reports. Guide, review, and mentor junior accounting and billing staff to maintain workflow continuity and internal controls.
