Senior Accountant – General Ledger & Consolidations Position: Senior Accountant Work Arrangement: Hybrid – at least 4x Return-to-Office (RTO) per month, office is located in Ortigas, Pasig City. Schedule: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM Shift Flexibility: Must be willing to provide night-shift coverage as needed, especially during month-end closing Position Summary: We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support the monthly accounting close and consolidation process. Reporting functionally to the Segment Finance Director, this role will work closely with the broader Accounting, Controllership, and Finance teams, as well as cross-functional stakeholders including Treasury, Legal, and HR. The ideal candidate has strong General Ledger and financial reporting experience, a solid understanding of US GAAP and internal controls, and the ability to manage multiple accounting activities in a fast-paced, multinational environment. Key Responsibilities: - Manage General Ledger accounting activities and support the monthly close and consolidation process. - Own the final consolidation and intercompany elimination process, including OneStream loads, mapping, and related activities. - Handle Treasury Accounting activities involving debt and interest, hedging, cash reconciliations, and dividends. - Support US Ledger Accounting activities for selected US and other regional businesses. - Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analytics. - Support accounting for cash, prepaids, fixed assets, leases, accruals/reserves, debt, allocations, insurance, and equity. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce monthly close cycle time through technology utilization, standardization, automation, SOP implementation, and process improvements. - Support internal control assessments and help maintain effective design and operating effectiveness of assigned controls. - Implement accounting processes and controls to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and corporate accounting policies and standards. - Provide support for SEC Reporting, including rollforwards and supporting schedules, as needed. - Coordinate with and provide support to external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits. - Collaborate effectively with Finance, Controllership, Treasury, Legal, HR, and other stakeholders. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - CPA certification is preferred. - At least 5 years of progressive General Ledger accounting experience, preferably gained in a Shared Services, manufacturing, or multinational environment. - Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements. - Experience with SOX compliance, internal controls, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close. - Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP is strongly preferred. - Experience with OneStream is highly preferred. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights. - Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset, with experience driving standardization, automation, and process efficiency. - Ability to embrace and apply an 80/20 approach to prioritization and process improvement. - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines. - Willingness to work with flexibility for night-shift coverage, particularly during month-end close.
