Senior Accountant
Job Summary: The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role also supervises the accounting staff and assists management in financial planning and decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. Supervise and monitor the performance of accounting personnel. Review and approve journal entries, vouchers, and supporting documents. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow. Ensure compliance with government regulations, tax requirements, and accounting standards. Coordinate with external auditors, government agencies, and other stakeholders during audits and inspections. Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting. Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls. Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management. Perform other accounting and supervisory duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or any related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage but not required. At least 6months to 1 year of relevant accounting experience , with a minimum of 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role . Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls. Experience in preparing financial statements and handling audits. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality. Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises Accounting Assistants Assigns work, monitors productivity, and ensures compliance with company policies and accounting procedures. Provides coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members. Assists in training and developing accounting staff. Ensures efficient workflow and accuracy in all accounting processes.
