Senior Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Plant Accountant to oversee financial operations, cost accounting, and inventory tracking at our steel manufacturing facility. You will partner directly with plant leadership to analyze production costs, manage plant ledger operations, and ensure strict compliance with accounting standards. Key Responsibilities Cost & Production Accounting: Track and analyze manufacturing costs, raw material usage, and variance reports (standard vs. actual). Inventory Control: Lead physical inventory audits, reconcile cycle counts, and value raw steel, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods. Financial Reporting: Prepare month-end close entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and generate monthly financial reports for plant operations. Capital Assets & Expenses: Track capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, asset depreciation, and maintain the fixed asset ledger for plant machinery. Process Improvement: Identify cost-saving opportunities across shop-floor operations and evaluate manufacturing efficiency metrics.
