The Role We're looking for a Senior Accountant to own the day-to-day financial operations of our Gulf business, from bookkeeping and reconciliations through to VAT/Corporate Tax compliance and month-end close. You'll be a key partner to the General Manager, translating numbers into insight as we scale across three markets and multiple sales channels. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including posting journal entries, recording bank transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records. Create and process sales invoices, ensuring timely and accurate recording of revenue transactions. Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records. Prepare monthly financial reports and management reports for submission to Head Office. Participate in meetings with the Head Office team, providing financial analysis and explaining key results, variances, and business performance. Prepare and review VAT and Corporate Tax calculations, ensuring returns are filed accurately and on time. Monitor accounts receivable and payable, following up on outstanding balances and managing customer/supplier accounts. Perform monthly closing activities, including provisions, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and account reconciliations. Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor the company's cash position to support effective cash management. Coordinate with banks, customers, suppliers, and other external parties on financial and accounting matters. Identify discrepancies and drive improvements to accounting processes and internal financial controls. Support management in preparing product offers, discounts, and pricing through financial and cost analysis. Manage the company's accounting system (Zoho Books), ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. Professional qualification such as CA Inter, CMA, or ACCA (pursuing or completed). 3–5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the UAE. Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations and compliance requirements. Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end closing procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software, preferably Zoho Books. Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
