The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting within the construction/contracting sector , with strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations, VAT requirements, and project-based accounting . This role is essential in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making. Qualifications & Skills - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are highly preferred. - 10–15 years of accounting experience in the UAE , with at least 5 years in the construction/contracting industry . - Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, and IFRS . - Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, and ERP systems . - Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. - Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. - Fluency in Arabic & English is preferred Key Responsibilities - Manage daily accounting activities including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations. - Prepare accurate and timely financial statements , management reports, and project cost reports . - Oversee project-based accounting , including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring expenses. - Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT laws , including preparation and submission of VAT returns. - Coordinate with external auditors and provide all necessary documentation for annual audits. - Monitor and manage cash flow , bank transactions, and project fund allocations. - Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and site teams to ensure accurate financial tracking. - Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies following IFRS standards. - Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for cost control and profit optimization . - Support the Finance Manager/CFO in strategic planning and financial decision-making.
